By the end of the year they will be shoving every sh*tty matchup at you as PPV. Then take January off again.
And that promo is danger for epileptics! There should be a warning because even I was jittering by the end of it
Exactly, they’ll still charge PPV on top of the increased monthly cost. As a value for money proposition, it’s the worst streaming option by absolute miles. They’ve been haemorrhaging money and their only remedy seems to be increasing the price despite having virtually zero content. Anyone who keeps it going must have a lot more money than sense.
I wonder how much perceived value true boxing fans get per year when one month has a youtuber match, another has Katie headlining, and a month off with nothing, and maybe one month with Canelo as PPV, with Joshua /Whyte the next as PPV.
The £99.99 still seems like good value?

US subs pay $19.99 have so much more for their monthly cost.
What does the UK have?
Matchroom, Golden Boy boxings. Women’s Champions league.. boxing archives (like we all watch them on a regular)
At least throw in women’s Netball sponsored by Vitality.
No way Adam Smith would give up the netball.
He orders a mixed kebab, goes through 20 Lambert and Butlers and a bottle Gordons pink gin every game.
He loves it. Look closely he has Netball tattooed on his knuckles.

I had it for months and months and watched like 5 fights.. got rid of it, for couple months but then got it back for some card recently. It’s fuking crook.
I’m very very close to redeleting it, I like the Callum smith undercard, Ramirez vs rosado is fun, AJ vs Franklin, I might hold out till after Franklin AJ, but ultimently I know I should delete it.
The value just isn’t there and that’s why I hate these subscription things, they trick you into it…. And in the time iv wrote this iv realised fornicate dazn and am unsubbing right now…

Babic vs Rozanski bridgerweight title bout will be on DAZN.
We are boycotting bridgerweight
I'm not as opposed to introducing a bridgerweight and lowering the cruiserweight limit, as I am adding a superheavyweight division although they both seem like attempts at doubling the number of belts. Nobody wants to see two whales whaling away.
The conversation started about Lawrence Okolie and Hearn’s recent split with him. The WBO Cruiserweight Champion partnered up with rivals BOXXER and Sky Sports recently.
What followed was a bitter back and forth, in which the promoter has been called ‘malicious, bitter and jealous.’ Hearn has defended the job he did for Okolie whilst claiming he lost money doing it.
Chisora asked the promoter ‘why is it about commercial value to you?’ to which Hearn told him fighters must be marketable because broadcasters ‘are willing to pay the numbers because of viewership and subscription.
The conversation moved onto Hearn’s link up with DAZN, with Chisora claiming it saw him stop spending money on fighters.
“When you left Sky, I remember you saying you had this big massive budget you were going to be spending on fighters, and when fighters followed you to DAZN, you stopped spending money on them … I didn’t get some of that.”
Hearn said it was untrue, and corrected Chisora when he said his fights on DAZN (Joseph Parker and Kubrat Pulev) were blockbusters. The promoter then took offence at past comments from ‘Del Boy.’
“I’ll tell you what I don’t like about you. I don’t like it when you say silly things about people that care about you and treated you well … I would never say that about you because I like you.”
“You know in the business that we are the ones that always do what we say.”
It all ended cordially, with Chisora agreeing that Matchroom were the route to take for fighters who wanted to be ‘paid on time.’
It’s unclear whether the Finchley fan-favourite heavyweight will be returning to the ring, under Hearn or otherwise.

Chisora is a proper self-entitled prick. Hearn has done an unbelievable job for him over the past 7 or 8 years.

Nah he’s just constantly on the wind-up.
I think he's just winding him up to, done an amazing job for him, made him more than many world champs

I don't think he's intelligent enough for it to be a wind-up, he genuinely thinks he's a massive attraction.

I have no doubts DAZN will end up like Setanta.
An expensive flop.
Theres only so long the owners will dig into its deep pockets
They're worldwide though and broadcast so many sports around the world. Unless they just exit the UK market.
I am convinced that DAZN have got both their pricing and strategy wrong.
I managed to get my Sky package including Sky Sports for £59 pm that includes multi room.
DAZN are charging nearly 33% of what I already pay and that doesn’t include PPV, in addition they
Do not have a football contract.
Another bombshell is I am willing to bet that DAZN will charge a ridiculous prices for future PPV and that will be their final nail in their coffin.
Eddie & DAZN only chance of survival is if they win a football package when bidding is due.
I will say again DAZN are doomed
Your 33% is only on the flexible monthly (cancel with 30 days notice) plan
£9.99 per month is pretty good value imho
DAZN know the streaming niche is the way to go. Whether they stay the course or get swallowed up down the line. This business model is here to stay.
This is spectacular. Now, Rugby Union does have an issue in the game, but at international level, are the viewing figures horrendous? And yet people listen to a man who promotes a minority sport.
The English RFU on its own matches the financial turnover of the whole Matchroom Sport operation, and that's before you get into the clubs, and the other UK rfus.
