I’d imagine they don’t cost loads (compared to a U.K. show) as the hometown promoter will be covering the bulk of the main event cost so whilst it’s another fight date with a good main event it should, in theory, leave more money available for the U.K. shows.
Yeh. I didn’t mind that they had Yoka-Takam also.

Alen Babic Accuses Eddie Hearn Of “Betrayal”, Promoter Responds

“I felt betrayed. Of course I did. I want to take my title in the UK.”

“Everybody expected this fight to be in the UK, nobody thought that Matchroom can be outbid by Poland, it is so crazy. But, Eddie Hearn talked to me the day before yesterday, and he said I look better than ever, he complimented my form and my pads and stuff, so I don’t know if he made a mistake, maybe he is realising that.”

“He has got bigger fish to fry with Joshua, Usyk and Fury, I think I kind of fell off in the third plan. This game is a dirty game, I don’t expect anyone to love me just for being me and having a bald head.”

“I was really hoping that my fight was going to be in the U.K. and I am hurt because it is not, but I am going to Poland and I am going to give them a show. I am going to give Eddie Hearn something to think about, he is going to see that he made a mistake.”

-----------------

Asked by Boxing Social about the comments from Babic, Hearn said:

“Betrayed we lost the purse bid? It’s a business. I love Alen Babic, but we bid what we believe was the value of the fight. There was only two bidder – the Polish promotional company and us.

If we hadn’t have turned up and bid, they could’ve bid £50,000, so we drove that bid to the values it was. He’s making good money.”

Not sure Babic has a lot to moan about, the promotion from Matchroom have turned his life around.

Yep. Eddie is clearly no saint but all those complaining/jumping ship are the ones that owe him more than they realise. He's pushed a few average boxers on the UK for a few years now and managed to make them well known names, well paid and managed get title shots for them too despite their limitations.

This is something that’s been concerning me for a while.

Either Babic or someone else has also posted a video of Babic sparring some dude and coming off like a complete dimwit. Going to tap gloves at the start of the round and then throwing a shot at the guys head while his hands are down type of sh1t. Then screaming like a prick in the middle of the spar.

Babic was saying last week that they hadn’t sorted things like tickets etc for it and he may walk away. I’d be amazed if that happens though.

They just announced some undercard fights.

Plenty of cards don’t show on Red til fight week.

I’m sure we all are on here but I’ll be honest I feel like I’m someone who’s constantly checking boxers records and upcoming shows to see what fights have been added. I can’t remember a televised show not appearing on boxrec until the week of the fight as you claim. Definitely not one with a World title (yes I know) on it.

On April 22 at the G2Arena in Rzeszow, Poland, Poland’s Lukasz Rozanski (14-0) and Croatian Alen “The Savage” Babic (11-0) will clash for the vacant World Boxing Council Bridgerweight title.
Rozanski has been waiting for his opportunity for a long time, as he was all set to fight then-champion Oscar Rivas in Colombia. A matchup that was postponed several times and ultimately cancelled. His last fight dates back to May 30, 2021 when he defeated Artur Szpilka with a first-round knockout.
As for “The Savage” Babic, he has been active since his pro debut in 2019 and is very popular among fans for his aggressive all action style.
The card will be presented by BOXXER in association with Knockout Promotions and will be broadcast on Sky Sports.

Wondering why Rozanski hasn't fought for nearly 2 years especially after his last fight was a decent win.

Think he's had a few cancelled fights. Atleast one with Rivas.

Looking at the poster it’s good to see Caroline Dubois in a step up against Jamie TKV.

It's a good step up for both to be fair.

Is Cieslak still fighting Bregeon for the European Cruiserweight title on this card?

Boxrec don't even have the Basic/Rozanski fight listed

BoxRec are shocking..

It’s supposed to be a records website.

How is anyone supposed to find a fight when BoxRec don’t list it.

I've always thought Boxrec were usually spot on with the schedule although I know they haven't listed a few Golden Boy shows until right before but I put that down to Oscar being high as a kite and forgetting to register or something, I'm not sure how they're listings work tbh
