This poll has got a lot of completely stupid options. Although some of them aren't totally insane, like Joyce, Ruiz, Ngannou, and Joshua. But the other half are just completely stupid. And lack of Usyk is weird. Pretty sure he's more likely to fight Usyk next than John McDermott.

Fury said publicly he will NEVER fight Usyk. So I left Usyk out of the poll.

I think John McDermott, although I put him in the poll as a joke, is probably more likely than Usyk. Most people seem to agree, Fury never wanted to fight Usyk.

All Boxing fans have anymore is what if's and maybe's.

Nothing is ever coming up on the horizon to actually excite anyone.

From here on out Tyson Fury has to fight solid names in order to rebuild his damaged reputation. Ruiz for April or May at the latest, then Joshua in July or August. That's what he should be aiming for.
But Henry, Fury isn't ready for April 29th. His trainer was never booked, he hasn't arranged a camp, he certainly hasn't been taking life in moderation like you would expect from a top athlete.
Just come to the realisation that the Uysk fight was never going to happen on that date, and if he actually does fight someone on the 29th it will be a guy so soft he doesn't have to seriously train for.
That certainly has become apparent although if that's the case and everybody involved knew it why the hell did Warren keep going on about having booked Wembley for the 29th of April?

Maybe Warren didn't know at first, maybe he never booked Wembley.
Maybe Fury does fight some patsy on the 29th to a rather desolate Wembley. :maybe:
The best thing to do is ignore Tyson Fury. The ultimate timewaster.
We should have learned after he ghosted Wlad, we really should have learned when he wasted Joshua's time when contracted to fight Wilder, and we should have learned this time because the joke is well and truly on us. :brick:

Fury has plenty of excuses, but none if them fool smart folks. He knows he would get outboxed, and embarrassed by Usyk.

Wilder has a punch that could end anyone's night, but his skills are lacking.

Usyk would attack Fury's body, stay out of harms way, and win easily. Usyk has footwork similar to Loma. Bad for the lumbering Fury. Wallin, also a southpaw, gave Fury all he wanted.

Let's not get carried away with Wallin's performance. He put up a decent effort but he won 2 maybe 3 rounds.

Personally, I'd like to see Fury-Joyce, but we boxing fans may need to settle for a softer opponent.

I wouldn't be mad if he fights Joshua next. It's a huge fight, and Fury/Usyk isn't that big of a fight.

Outside of hardcores, though does anyone really care about Usyk/Fury? No one really knows who the hell Usyk is, and if he becomes undisputed, would anyone really care?

Not trying to hate, but wouldn't Parker/Fury also do more money than Usyk/Fury. I'm an Usyk fan, but as far as I know, the dude doesn't draw flies. I don't even think he's as popular as the Klitschkos. I could be wrong because I'm no European authority, but is he even comparable to the Klitschkos?

Shouldn’t one of the absolute non negotiable things in boxing be the best fight the best?

Why should we as fans settle? The two best heavies right now are usyk and Fury. Why the hell should I watch Fury fight the guy usyk beat twice? Why should I watch usyk fight the guy Fury beat twice?

I will watch usyk fight anyone. He is the the champion and deservedly so. I am sorry, Fury has lost his fight with Usyk by default. He is second fiddle. I really don’t give a damn what less knowledgeable fans think or if lesser fighters fill bigger stadiums.

Fury vs. one of those Youtube dorks would do a ton of money too... Money is really not the most interesting thing for fans to worry about.

really nothing changed, except the fight not happening end of April.

they both got their titles.

don't tell me if they agree on a later date this year their respective organizations can't take care of their mandatories in practically every way they think fit. like postponing the mandatories is unheard of.

if all the name calling, accusing each other of being scared, ducking and being the one to blame did one thing, it's that everybody heard of that fvckin' fight NOW.

that's the usual ballyhoo of promotion, marinating the fight to make sure in the next round of negotiations EVERYBODY involved can squeeze out a bit MORE fvckin' MONEY.

if all that's not done to make the fight even BIGGER, more lucrative for everybody involved than it would be if it happened now, then I guess I'm the stupid one and the heavyweight champions of the world are really scared to fight each other (if so I decide to believe both of their bullshit, both of em are scared fuckin' puxxy ducks) and it's not all just part of making more MONEY!!!! next time round some point later this year.

I hope the boxing world ridicules Fury. Unfortunately too many brownnosers, mainly Pundits, but also some boxers hoping to look good by association.

There is no doubt about your opinion.

Usyk has defeated AJ twice. He has been undisputed Cruiser champ. He is an acknowledged current P4P top 5. He is well known around the globe, especially in places where boxing still “draws flies.” The fact that he is Ukrainian just adds to that fame.

There is no excuse for this fight not happening, but that won’t stop wrong ones like you from making up ignorant 💩.

Sure, AJ v Fury is a huge fight, but nobody with any sense is foolish enough to honestly think that it is bigger worldwide than Usyk v Fury. Fans around the world know the truth, from Asia to Africa to Latin America to Putinland to Europe and in America.

Fury is ducking Usyk.

I'd say more people in the UK know who Usyk is than Joyce, Parker and Dubois.

Yeah but one can argue that is strictly because of all the drama that Tyson Fury started. Even with Usyk beating Joshua twice most people care to see Joshua more against Fury, even though that fight should have happened 3 or 4 years ago.

If Fury faces Joshua and beats him, it will be bigger the 3 mandatories Usyk will have. I think by that point the public opinion will drift back to Fury. :maybe: Only the hardcore fans will hold on to the grudges. Whether we like it or not it is the casual fan base that will drive the most money.

And of course all the controversy will only make the hardcore fans pay out the big dollars once the undisputed fight ever is made, provided Usyk doesn't lose along the way. What would have been a $75 pay per view may end up being $100 by that time.

Usyk may be the biggest threat in the division and the most skilled, but he's not a star. Matter of fact one might make an argument that his inclusion to the division has only made Fury-Joshua, Wilder-Joshua, etc harder to make because it's one more roadblock to get passed.

It's not just the fact Fury isn't fighting Usyk, its the lies, unreasonable demands, and evolving excuses of why they aren't fighting. I admit that I'll hang on to my grudge.
