So, 8 months ago Franklin was working full time for a roofing company laying out vinyl sheets and now has the opportunity to lay out Anthony Joshua on the canvas this Saturday night?

Wow!

It's funny that Joshua is bigger and has gained weight since parting with Robert Garcia whilst Franklin is smaller than when he fought Whyte and may have gained stamina.

Joshua seems relaxed and confident, but is he being a little too relaxed here?

If this gets past 6/7 rounds it could get very interesting.
I think that Joshua will likely flatten him pretty quick. Franklyns record is pretty dire, his best effort being going the distance with a pretty flat Whyte.

Hopefully Franklin is genuinely fired up for it and that's all we can ask for.

Your actually going to watch this?
The whole card is as utterly dire as the main event.
It's like they carefully crafted it to but the final nail in the DAZN non PPV coffin.

Well I admit he was chosen for a reason which is to get Joshua's confidence back. That is why I disagree with Joshua that he is on the same level as Fury and Usyk. If he was then he'd be facing someone ranked higher.

Jermaine Franklin is a F*****G tramp and bum.

Charles Martin, Dominic Breazeale and Eric school teacher Molina are crap.

I kind of thought it was a way to dismiss Wilder which I'd rather he do in the ring. I was calling for that fight a few months ago but I was told it was too big of a risk for Joshua's rebuilding phase. :shame:

Joshua, showing off the muscle-bound physique fans are used to, weighed in at 255.4lb – a career highest and over 10lb heavier than his rematch with Oleksandr Usyk.

His American opponent tipped the scales at 234.1lb – 23 pounds lighter than his loss to Dillian Whyte in November last year.

I think we'll see a greatly improved AJ under his new trainer. Good tune up fight.

Yes, the warning signs for Joshua fans are there.

It would be great to see AJ get a quick knockout but I can't remember the last time that happened.

It would be stupid to dismiss Franklin unless you happen to believe this fight is fixed - same promoter etc etc. Or that Dillian Whyte was already nearly finished when they fought.

Both things are possible but I don't believe it, I see another tough night for AJ coming up.

Wilder came back by KOing Helenius.

Anyway, he's a one of the biggest divas in negotiating.

Fury opponent after drug ban: Sefer Seferi
Fury opponent after Wilder draw: Tom Schwarz
Wilder opponent after Fury draw: Breazeale
Wilder opponent after Fury losses: Helenius
Joshua opponent after Usyk losses: Jermaine Franklin

I don't think this is a must see fight but comparing it to the others guys...

Well, Wilder's opponents weren't really worse than the fat guy, who lost to Jerry Forrest.

Wilder was going to fight Andy Ruiz before Canelo changed his mind about Cinco weekend. Also he suffered KOs in his losses.
I'm glad Franklin gets another shot as I watched his fight vs Whyte. But vs Joshua? Wow that would be a hard mountain to climb.

Well, the card is stacking up to be sh*t so far.
And I doubt I will be hanging in there for the main event.
If this is DAZN's attempt to draw in subscribers, they are f*cked

The so-called 'British stoppage' by Howard Foster in Wardley v Coffie strokes again.

Coffie was far from finished and the stoppage was rightly booed.

I hope the Franklin camp is taking note.
