You could argue that he used to be a technical brawler who didn't mind taking a shot to give one but he looks like he freezes up a bit when hit now and wants to be more of a pure boxer instead.

Ref is breaking them without getting in there, then just letting them call the reset.... potential for that to go horribly wrong with a big shot after the break when the opponent is just standing there (kinda a cheap shot kinda fair)...

AJ is a scared boxer..

He could try and take him out.

It’s like he’s lost massive confidence and belief.

Franklin's no div

Aj seems to have picked up a few bits an bobs from James, looks solid, but a bit unsure all at the same time  with a bit of belief he will get this done by KO but if he keeps trying to ease his way in, who knows..

Aj is too concerned with what's going to come back

Good scrap so far. AJ looks a bit gun-shy at times, Franklin is tough with fast hands.

I hope if it makes it to 10 rounds franklin dosent just try go distance and reallly rumbles, thats his time.

Franklin is a more than game opponent. Win or lose he should get in there with some other top 15 guys after this. AJ might need some more work with James.

AJ a bit gun shy. Jab looks solid and landing the uppercut well but a bit hesitant close up.

Joshua seems to have worked out that he’ll take a lot more out of himself than Franklin, if he starts chasing after the guy with combos.

It’s not a masterful performance, but he’s probably doing the right thing in picking his shots and stopping Franklin’s attacks with a clinch.

I get the feeling Joshua is working his way UP to a rematch with Whyte.
From what he is showing here, that is his level right now

Yeh I agree AJ hesitant it's like a battle between the conscious (I'm as good as ever was) and the unconscious that knows the truth.

starting to tie up a bit now. Franklin needs to loop that right in at AJs ear. hope to get one land just behind it... even if it dosent scramble AJs equilibrium after the ruiz scrambling it will make him a bit nervouse.
