I can seem some knee jerk reactionaries dropping Joshua down to 7th
why is that knee jerk? You think he looked better than that last night? :maybe:
What have Parker, Joyce, Ruiz and Wilder done that should see them move ahead of him? I don't think it was a top performance by any means but he got the win while others have either been inactive, beating similar level opposition or being unimpressive themselves. There is no reasonable argument to be made that he should be below Parker or Ruiz and there is barely an argument to be made for Joyce and Wilder.

I mean got the win. Overall, you’d think it was a fairly comfortable decision.

Watching the fight itself, can be a little frustrating.

First win in almost 3 years? Lost his previous two fights and sits at number 3. That needs correcting.

I would move Wilder to 3rd and Joyce to 4th the Joshua just off of the eye test

If it were me, I'd flip Wilder and Joyce at this point. AND move AJ down.

I understand where your coming from Oogs, and that last performance was uninspiring.
But based on resume, and he isn't knocking on 40 yet, let's see how he goes. He may be fighting to the level of his opponent, last night he was, and I expect he had more in the tank.

what happened to not dropping a guy on a win

first win in 3 years after back to back losses........sounds almost like another guy we have ranked high, although he was ko'd twice.

aj still top 4 for me, dont see how he goes any lower than 5 (joyce is on a good run tbf, so okay, i can buy an argument squeaking him over aj)

His resume the last 3 years isn't so hot. We're not voting on what he did 5 years ago.

6th? below ruiz? or is it someone else you have ahead of him along with fury, wilder, usyk ,and joyce

you say first win in 3 years, but that went for wilder too. good to see you've at least abandoned the 'cant vote down off a win' principle

Everyone seemed to want to allow it a couple of years ago, so yeah. And he's 1-1 with Ruiz, so nothing earth shattering unless you're a super fan. I also want to drop Wilder below Joyce. Thanks for responding.

so aj below ruiz now?

i mean, he did pretty much shut him out 11-1 or so the last time they fought, and at least he didn't get bounced off the canvas by an ultra shopworn arreola in his next showing

quick question. When you put " " is there something actually funny you posted? Or just a nervous habit?

And yes. AJ below Ruiz. We won't be seeing anything from AJ in the future. Maybe not Ruiz either. I think AJ is done. Gotten worse since his loss to Ruiz despite shutting out the even fatter version in the rematch.

Using 3 years as the arbitrary cut off (because that's the date that I assume suits the narrative?):

1) Fury - Wins over Chisora, Whyte and Wilder.
2) Usyk - Wins over Joshua X2 and Chisora.
3) Joshua - Wins over Pulev and Franklin. Loss to Usyk x2.
4) Wilder - Win over Helenius and loss to Fury.
5) Joyce - Wins over Wallisch, Dubois, Takam, Hammer and Parker.
6) Ruiz - Wins over Arreola and Ortiz.
7) Parker - Wins over Fa, Chisora x2 and Massey. Loss to Joyce.

LOL!!! Right, and he's been unstoppable since then. LMFAO! Super wins over 285 LB Ruiz; Pulev and Frankln and 2 losses to Usyk. He's a dynamo now!

So he's finished then from what he was before; A serious contender. Thanks for agreeing. ;-)

Overall I could care less about any HW other than Usyk; Fury; and Joyce out of the current top ten for the immediate future. After than give me the prospects and some of those fringe guys who are young enough to maybe be exciting.

still a serious contender of course, since he was supposedly finished he beat ruiz easily, ko'd pulev, widely beat franklin, and only lost to an elite guy

now worse than beating helenius and being twice ko'd by fury.........no worse than being 11-1'd by josh, dropped on your ass by arreola, and edging old louis, etc. after furry and usyk, josh is right there with anyone
