Really?

Can't see it, he's no puncher at heavyweight, in fact he wasn't even at cruiser and its not his style either.

If he stops Dubois it's late doors.

I don't him as a puncher either, but there is a possibility that DDD is genuinely chinny and I'd bet Usyk will be hitting him cleanly when he's not expecting it!

I thought Usyk could've stopped Joshua in the first fight if he wanted to, and had Chisora ready to go at one point, but he just doesn't fight like that. It's not that he doesn't have power, I think he's more interested in being skilful.

I always thought the Bellew KO was very tactical and planned from the start. They knew Bellew would be giving it everything in there and threw the first few rounds to him to make him think what he was doing was working, and then when Usyk picked up the pace and stopped playing with his food Bellew was demoralised and his gas tank emptied, making him an easy stoppage.

I wouldn't be surprised if Usyk chinned Dubois.

Yes Joshua looked ready to go in their first fight, but more through fatigue I think, but its not part of usyks gameplan at heavyweight. He's quite pragmatic I think.

Of course it's possible he chins dubois, but I think unless it's obvious he completely gone? Usyk will box to order.

Of course Usyk would be a rightful favourite over Dubois, but I’m surprised to read so many folk predicting a walkover job.

Against Lerena he got clipped on the top of the head which yes caused a reaction, but from that point on the only difficulty he had was with his injured leg.

Dubois hobbled around for three rounds, then finds a nice right hand to drop the guy, while showing sound instincts to immediately go after the finish.

All in all I think he dealt with a shit situation really well. I don’t know why he is being written off as though he has no future in the game. I can see some big nights for Dubois over the next few years.

Agree, I don’t buy this idea that Dubois’ now chinny, he had no balance due to the injury. If he was that chinny it’d have shown against Joyce.

If he fights Usyk I expect him to go late with either a points loss or a late stoppage through exhaustion or facial damage rather than a proper knockout.

I don't think Dubois is chinny. I think it was damage to his knee that caused those knockdowns.

I would make Uysk favourite but this is heavyweight boxing and Dubois can bang and appears to have a lot of heart. I never bought the quitter tag he was given after the Joyce loss. If your eye is gone there is no point in carrying on. Live to fight another day, instead.

I don't think he is specifically chinny given that it's the heavyweight division but he's been caught by Lartey (but not put in massive trouble), caught by Lerena (even with the supposed injury) and taken a knee and given up against Joyce (rightly or wrongly). Given his age and experience that's either incredibly unlucky or it's a sign of things to come. I don't think he's a chinny quitter but he has been caught by sub-par opposition and he clearly "thinks rather than fights" sometimes which may be his downfall if the thinking doesn't allow him to dig deep (it could also be a benefit when you need to fight smart).

Usyk beats DDD comfortably by 12 round UD .
Doubt the fight happens anyway due to dubs leg injury as Usyk probably wont want to be out of the ring a lot longer .

People have short memories. They also forget DDD was very close with Joyce on the cards late on with one eye.

Not many gave Joyce much of a chance in that fight. Joyce jabbed Dubois to a standstill and eventually down to one knee. The score on the cards is kind of irrelevant.

Dubois has never fancied the rematch has he.

What are the purse splits if it goes to bids?

I don’t know if this is a 1 million dollar fight or a 20 million dollar fight….

You could argue that Dubois seems considerably less concerned about his tank running dry than Joshua was / is.

That can surely only be a good thing against someone like Usyk. There is of course the little matter of actually landing clean hits on the champion.

But I like this match up.

Dubios has a bit of a Razor Ruddock vibe about him. Some good qualities but also maybe some question marks regarding skill and durability. Although granted in today’s shallow heavyweight field his abilities may more equate to a dangerman like Ray Austin.
