It’s quite clear Roy. It has been now for quite a while.
Isn’t it sad?

I think the testers have gotten better. They must all be in fear now. There's no way half those lads in the 90's weren't at it.

Its bad enough we get to hear about a high profile boxer fails a test.
Whats worse confidentialality, lawyers etc etc means we dont hear of this for over year.
I could go on

Team Khan were informed in July that there was a likelihood of a ban. Team Khan then said he would answer the investigation.
So its taken over 6 months for Team Khan to answer.
UKAD have got some serious questions to answer.

Elite athletes are supposed to be pretty forensic about what they put in their bodies. It would be X kilos of high grade whey protein or whatever for the training camp. You kind of know that if any half-decent journalist asked Khan, ‘so which supplement exactly do you think was contaminated with ostarine then?’ he’d have no answer. He’d have to sell the idea he just puts any old random crap in his mouth.
If you actually think a high street brand of supplement is contaminated with SARMS why aren’t you sending left-over samples off for testing, and threatening to sue them? I mean this supplement company has obviously ruined your reputation and lost you countless sponsorships!
But of course he won’t do any of that, because he knows exactly what he was putting into his body.

Looks like UKAD hit Khan with two violations as predictably he couldn’t identify the source of the Ostarine …when of course they would have been in that dodgy little black pill bottle all along! lol https://sarmsstore.co.uk/

Oh no. His mate might have have handled it and then shook his hand. Hence the low volume of drug I N the system.polecateddy wrote: ↑04 Apr 2023, 12:16 Looks like UKAD hit Khan with two violations as predictably he couldn’t identify the source of the Ostarine …when of course they would have been in that dodgy little black pill bottle all along! lol https://sarmsstore.co.uk/

The BBBC need to to reveal every single licensed fighter who's serving a ban currently, otherwise they may as well not bother testing, they allowed Fury to fight after testing positive, sat on the Benn violation for 5 weeks and now this, they're just as complicit as UKAD
Still nevermind at least Liam Cameron got 4 years for coke

Re: Amir Khan is Banned from all sport for two years over doping rule break
I noted that the Australian anti-doping agency still do 2-4 year bans like UKAD routinely, but sensibly only give 3 month bans for coke and weed. They are relatively common bans to get there.handsofstone wrote: ↑04 Apr 2023, 13:08 The BBBC need to to reveal every single licensed fighter who's serving a ban currently, otherwise they may as well not bother testing, they allowed Fury to fight after testing positive, sat on the Benn violation for 5 weeks and now this, they're just as complicit as UKAD

Just read that UKAD agree it was unintentional as the dose was so small that it would’ve given zero advantage plus Khan had passed earlier tests where it wasn’t in his system, as they believe it was unintentional they cut the 4 year ban to a 2 year ban. That doesn’t really make sense, so they believe he was effectively innocent but ban him anyway

Re: Amir Khan is Banned from all sport for two years over doping rule break
I think the 'strict liability' element acts as a safety net for the testing agencies. Most of the time they're going to be catching athletes who have mistimed coming off their PED cycles. Or have underestimated the possibility of testing when out of competition, or something similar. They must know that often it will be small quantities found in systems - the agencies know the likely reason even if they can't prove an athlete was on a full-blown cycle, so at least the strict liability clause ensures they don't get away with it. I mean Khan even committed a second violation because he couldn't show which supposedly dodgy supplement he took.Controversial wrote: ↑04 Apr 2023, 13:36 Just read that UKAD agree it was unintentional as the dose was so small that it would’ve given zero advantage plus Khan had passed earlier tests where it wasn’t in his system, as they believe it was unintentional they cut the 4 year ban to a 2 year ban. Re: Amir Khan is Banned from all sport for two years over doping rule break
I think the issue with Dom's theory is that if it was a last minute boost on fight night via some supplement, is that Khan couldn't identify 'the supplement' to UKAD, so committed a second violation. Surely if it was something on the night or near to it, it would have been easy to say yes, sorry I took some Jack 3D or whatever. The other point might be I'm 99% sure Dom would have taken loads of SARMS over the years. He's not owning that! Lol

But they have said his levels would’ve been 1000 times higher had he taken it for performance enhancing purposes and the dose was such a micro level it must’ve been taken without knowledge. I get strict liability but they are effectively saying he was innocent.polecateddy wrote: ↑04 Apr 2023, 14:09I think the 'strict liability' element acts as a safety net for the testing agencies. Re: Amir Khan is Banned from all sport for two years over doping rule break
In all fairness if there's one boxer out there who'd be stupid enough with all that experience and cash dumb enough to accidentally take PEDs or just drink or consume any old supplement without a seconds thought it would be Amir Khan
