Interim Titles.
Interim Titles.
Jermell Charlo is legit injured in my opinion. So isn't this an example of where the bullshit Interim titles should come into play? Wasn't that what they were for. Champion is injured therefore Interim champ carries the can?
Re: Interim Titles.
How bad is the injury??
If they are still going to fight in 2023 there is no reason for interim title garbage.
If we're looking at 2024 maybe Charlo should start getting belts stripped.

Re: Interim Titles.
Interim titles should be reserved for when a champ is unable to defend their belt for 12 months or more due to a reason which is no fault of their own. In cases when it is their fault for not fighting in that time then they should be stripped. When they are able to return their first fight should be to unify with the interim champ. If either champ does not want to unify then they should be stripped.

Oh, so you subscribe to the archaic idea that interim titles should be used for the purpose that they're meant for, and not as a sort of silver belt to grab extra cash?
