I don’t know if this is a 1 million dollar fight or a 20 million dollar fight….
I think it’s either 80/20 or 75/25.

It wouldn’t surprise me actually if this ends up going to purse bids. Eddie was saying last week he’d told Krassyuk that he’d be interested in bidding on it.

How many buys does it do on BT? 250k? So they’ll probably be at something like £5m inc. gate. Given Usyk’s position I’d imagine they could get more as a site fee.

If Hearn wins the bids, does Frank pull Dubois out and we get Wilder instead?

No way
Wilder will be carefully managed like always, fighting Fury was a miscalculation.

Can see Mcguigan letting Big D have a go and then throwing in the towel once Usyk goes through the gears.

Should be a fun fight while it lasts.

Bit concerning that DDD is only just back training from knee surgery by the sounds by what Frank said today. If the money is right he has to take it buttt, if i were DDD id be trying to organise Joyce to skip the line and go a bit later.... otherwise DDDs team will try put it as late as possible which sucks for the fans if it ends up septemberish....

That's how they achieve their shots, outside of the ring.

If this fight happens, it will be one big boring fight. Usyk will just dance around Dubios, throwing pot-shots at Danile from the outside, avoiding any kind of actual engagement of inside-fighting 90% of the fight. Usyk will win by easy decision, even if the fight up being very close. Corrupt European referees are most likely told they have to protect the Ukraine asset. Ukraine is one of the most corrupt countries on the face of the planet ( thanks BJF ). Usky might be good and all, but in my opinion, a boring heavyweight.

Ukraine is generally considered less corrupt than about 35-40% of the countries on the face of the planet. I also don't think it's Usyk that the judges and referees will be protecting in this one...

Presumably Usyk will have to navigate a few lively opening rounds before Dubios runs out of steam and ideas. Reckon a stoppage in ten.

Can you name me one top 10 opponent that Usyk has KO'ed with his power? Maybe top 20 opponent? Yeah, didn't think so.......

bellew and mchunu at cruiser................at heavy he's certainly not got much power though. he throws punches in a way that sacrifices power for speed, mobility, accuracy.......almost never sits down on his shots or puts his body into them

Usyk’s aim isn’t to knock his opponents out.

Doesn’t mean he doesn’t carry some power.

Yeah there was always a chance that AJ could knock him out, so he didn't stay in the pocket and really plant his feet.

I expect that to be his tactic against all the heavies, especially for the first 8-9 rounds.

AJ was close to being stopped in the final round of the first bout with Usyk. He must have some pop in his punches :maybe:

Usyk could have stopped him. Plus the round ended 10 seconds early ..

I have heard enough from the interviews etc from the pros who have fought/sparred Dubois, to be confident that the guy hits much harder with a single shot than AJ. Clearly, AJ is a better combination puncher though.

josh has stopped top 10 fighters, whereas dubs has just stopped trash. josh quickly wrecked kev j and nearly knocked him out of the ring in 1 round, whereas dubs couldnt even put him down over 10 rounds. much harder my arse, nothing to show that in actual fights.

as for sparring, tommy fury's sparring power was getting hyped up too, there were guys saying theyd never felt anything like it

I’d have prime AJ’s power above DDD at this stage easily.

We can’t gauge DDD power until he has fought at a higher level.

Honest question, Mags. Do you speak to many pro boxers? You seem to dispute everything any of them says. Have you had a bad experience of them lying to you?
Also, I am pretty sure AJ V KJ was fixed. I even won money on an early stoppage. The narrative was always going to be could he stop the unstoppable? It created the false image of this destroyer. Worked well for them too.

Maybe Frank should pay up then because we have not once seen Dubois finish an opponent that wouldn't get finished by atleast a dozen other guys in the division.
