Just look at his record.
A bit better than Fury’s. But still not great is it. And I’d love to hear arguments otherwise. Truly.

Heavyweight Boxing has been pish for nearly 20 years!
Yeah I’m not sold on Wlad as an ATG. Way too many flaws, benefitted from a very poor era and Vitali not wanting to ko his own brother. He’d probably still dominate the current era in his prime though. Heavyweight scene really has been awful since Lewis retired.

You can only beat what's there, for Fury beating the existing champ, Vlad, in his back yard, and one of the other champs, Wilder, in his back yard, both read well.

Then on top of that you need to beat the best of the rest with a few decent also rans.

So Fury needs AJ and Usyk.

On top of that he has beaten Whyte, Chisora and Wallin who are decent also rans but should add the likes of Ruiz, DDD, JJJ, Zhang and Hrgovic and only at that point can he be considered for an ATG

Of course on the other hand Wilder has beaten Ortiz at home, and AJ an aging Vlad at home, Parker at home, he won and lost to Ruiz too.

Usyk cleaned up at cruiser, then beat Chisora and AJ.

Nobody is threatening Lennox's legacy despite his loses to McCall and Rahman

Fighting every 8 months on an obscure app. Out of sight out of mind.

Nothing to do with DAZN, he's only had 1 fight on there which was available via Sky and Virgin, his star is fading because of the losses to Usyk and too much inactivity

Oh yeah I know that's why but I meant the current situation isn't doing his case any help either.

“I think Eddie Hearn and his team are cashing out, and he’s ripe for the picking. I think The Juggernaut will take him out.”

“Plenty of history there. Two arguably Gold Medalists going at it for who’s gonna be number one in the UK. But I mean there’s Fury, who mentioned my name and he talks highly of me. That is a fight I want, I’m just disappointed about the undisputed falling through. Just looking forward to making these big fights.”

“Based on that performance against Franklin I would have [bashed him up.] But I think it’d be a good fight and may the best man win. Once the fight gets made and it’s solid and concrete – because you can do all the talking you want till you go blue.”

I can only see the delay being Hearn not wanting to risk Joshua against Whyte in the summer and wait for a Wilder or Fury fight in December. But Fury-Usyk also being rumoured again for the end of the year and Wilder will fight before then and could lose. All seems odd.

sadly in most countries boxing is not a mainstream sport which is part of the story and dazn is a fledgling business building up its offer and profile .

We can stop calling DAZN an app now..

It's like having SkyGo or the BT app now

They have a channel on Sky.. Then support an app too..

Virtually every serious boxing fan thought there was room for improvement, after AJs recent performance against Franklin.

A lot of peoples opinion was AJ needed to keep active not to get the rounds in but to increase his confidence.

If he does fight one of the top 3 he is in for a hiding.

This is probably gonna be Wilder then, if all them rumours are true.

Everyone has confirmed the rumours apart from Fury.
