I’m Pretty sure he told him how many fingers he was holding up
I thought he said, "two" then "one" correctly too.
Can't complain about the stoppage tho.

I'm guessing there was a rematch clause?

I had Joyce a round up at the time of the stoppage, but they had to look after that eye.
Absolute respect to the man for taking this fight when he didn't have to. Zhang deserves an immediate shot at a top name next.
Sorry mate - can’t see how Joyce could have been up.

Pity for Joyce, he didn't get out the starting blocks there.
Zhang is deceptively good though, he won't be easy for anyone.

He might have that Chris Eubank (sr) thing of the eye keeps swelling up despite still fighting relatively well. Rematch?

In a perverse way it’s a good result for Joyce.
Joyce will get a title shot now before Zhang. Zhang will probably have to wait until he is 42

£200. Thanks Zhang
Well done mate.
£100 extra thanks to Zhang for me after furiously managing to get the stoppage bet in on Sam Noakes earlier which won me £50 or so.

Hopefully this ends the Joyce is the boogeyman that everybody is avoiding nonsense i keep reading.
Fella is a heavy bag on legs who's just been stopped by a 40 year old.
100%. Entertaining B level heavyweight but zero defence. When people were saying he could beat Fury and Usyk… not a chance.

Spend more time learning defence, and less slagging off Anthony Joshua.
Joshua has achieved more than Joyce ever will.

Sensible decision.
Massive setback for JJ
Joyce has always lead with his face and is too slow to have a plan B
The danger of using your chin as a major part of your game plan is that it's not the only thing getting whacked that can let you down. To be fair Zhang is a) underrated and b) the exact wrong style for Joyce - the only guy significantly bigger than him with power and durability

I had Joyce down at the start of that round, and up until the stoppage I had that round for Zhang.

This isn’t about how good Zhang is
It’s about bad Joyce has always been
Stiff, ridged, flat footed and basic
And about as entertaining to watch as Oklie

Hopefully the nuggets who think Joyce blocking punches with his head is funny will pipe down now. Needs to learn some defence.

Foster did not wanna stop that..
Yeh he was heartbroken, the doc didn’t want to either, think he whispered to Foster “your call”
When the ref goes to the Dr for the second time in a round his decision is already made
Only had Joyce winning the 3rd. Rest was Zhang
Looked more sluggish than normal

Losing by "injury" does Joyce a favour.
Shame it happened though, I'd like to have seen the fight to go into deep waters.
While I wanted Joyce to win, I really like Zhang, and am pleased for him.
I'd like to see some huge fights in China
