Zhang could get a big demented Egg Foo Yung with Tony Sims reared free range eggs, with cutlets of wild boar supplied by Fury's artisan boer meat selling mate. All washed down with lashings of Amir Khan's bro's beer. Just don't piss in any vada cups after

I suspect Zhang actually punches harder than Wilder. I'd be surprised if Wilder could match his power up close, and I think it's his speed advantage over Zhang that makes him more dangerous at range. Zhang's the first dude to make Joyce look normal-sized.
I think Fury beats Zhang in a 9-3 sort of fight because he'd be on his bike until Zhang was blowing. Joyce only has that one approach and gear, but I still think he'd push Fury hard with it.
A lot of us said this was a big risk for Joyce, taking on one of the biggest punchers with tidy fundamentals in a fight he could've avoided. Plenty also said they expected him to win, but taking a couple big shots minimum to do it.
Both stepped up when so many others won't, and I feel Zhang now deserves a title shot ahead of a rematch for that. He beat Hrg for me. I'd like Joyce to fight Fury but can't see it happening. Zhang now makes a lot more sense for Usyk than Dubois, with a size and power difference that appeals to fans.
And I'd like to see Makhmudov in the mix, but who's gonna fight him... (Jalolov, ideally!)

WBO mandatory in 3rd in line unfortunately.
Like Bunce said, with the Heavies, it’s looking likely May 2024.. Joyce has time for his eye to heal, take a fight maybe and rematch Zhang to win back the belt.

I think it's against the forum grain but I feel Hrgovic isn't far from his first loss, and since he has a win over Zhang, I'd recommend both Joyce and AJ target him next.
Never mind this waiting till December for AJ — get him Hrg for the summer!

the forum fell hard on hrgovic after the zhang fight, im pretty sure most thought he lost and looked really vulnerable. he hasnt been a hot commodity in years, now he's just waiting around for his chance to sell his 0, that i dont think he should even haveGrilling Machine wrote: ↑15 Apr 2023, 23:07 I think it's against the forum grain but I feel Hrgovic isn't far from his first loss, and since he has a win over Zhang, I'd recommend both Joyce and AJ target him next.

He's the highest-rated opponent I think AJ has a chance of looking good against.

Big Bang should forget about a Joyve rematch and look for a world title shot.
He's omly getting older. 6 months for a Joyce rematch, then 6 months for Fury to grow a pair of balls or Usyk to finish with his mandatories -- he could well be shot and passed it by that time.
Forget about rematching Joyce and call out one of the champs.

I would not be surprised to see Fury defend the WBC title against Ruiz and Zhang to be honest. Since Joyce is gone, that's another British dream match ruined. So why not use the angle of Fury defending Joyce by fighting Zhang?tigermoth87 wrote: ↑15 Apr 2023, 23:31 Big Bang should forget about a Joyve rematch and look for a world title shot.

i agree, he's put himself in position for a bigger fight, it would be daft to just go straight back in with joyce w/o at least giving it a shot of landing something more lucrative. maybe him being a massive chinese guy could help a fight with a bigger name sell as bit of a noveltytigermoth87 wrote: ↑15 Apr 2023, 23:31 Big Bang should forget about a Joyve rematch and look for a world title shot.

The face-blocking went wrong for the mighty Juggernaut.

Worth a stab?
Reckon Joyce should shellack him, but Zhang can bang and he he will be going balls out for a win here

I guess his face was going to crumble at some point after using it as a guard his whole career.
I like Joyce, but he's always had that ponderous look about him, waiting to be exposed by a faster, more accurate fighter. I didn't think Zhang would be the one though, thought Joe would weather the early storm before wearing down a fighter with suspect stamina.
In a way I'm glad it was someone like Zhang who exposed Joe's style. Can you imagine just how much a Fury win over Joyce would've been exagerrated had he got there first?

If so i concur, they should try and make the fight.
Joshuas got more in his arsenal than Joyce, would defikitely be risky as Zhang could put him to sleep, but Joshua wouldnt just stand there eating shots like Joyce did.
