Either MM overwhelm the slick boxer Young behind his southpaw jabs and heavy punches to take a decision or would Young overcame MM's southpaw style behind his jabs and counters on the body and head to outbox him to take a decision himself. What do you guys think and who do you got?

Moorer was a good boxer technically. He was smart and methodical, but Young was slicker. I see Young outboxing Moorer by a narrow margine behind the jab and short occasional combos.

I feel like this is a fight where either guy could win a decision honestly. Moorer's not an idiot who's gonna punch himself out, but he's definitely gonna have his problems with Young.

Since I see this as basically a 50/50 matchup and everyone else is picking Young. I'll take Moorer by decision.

Fascinating fight. Great match-up from the perspective of styles.

I pick Young by decision, probably a comfortable UD. Overall, I think Jimmy was just to nimble, slick, and technically proficient for Moorer. Key factor here is that Young was so hard to hit.

Clipping Young with an effective shot was analogous to hitting a dangling string. Nobody could hit him. Meanwhile, he easily slapped, pitter-pattered, and tapped his opponents, winning rounds and taking the decisions.

But one thing worth considering is that Moorer was a southpaw. I can't remember Young fighting any southpaws, aside from Richard Dunn, who wasn't really world class. So we don't know how Young would fare against a world-class southpaw like Moorer.

But still, I give Jimmy the benefit of the doubt. I think he solves the southpaw riddle and outpoints Moorer.
