He must have had that, as nobody ever wanted to stand in front of him. You’d wonder what Joe Joyce’s face would have looked like going into the second half against Foreman? It’s an amazing feat winning the title at 45 wasn’t it! Spanning over from the 70’s into the 90’s and still being relevant. He laid down a road map for older fighters to follow. Played it very smart starting small, fighting regularly and building up to Holyfield, who was small, but also a total nightmare to fight with all that energy!jamesmcdonnell wrote: ↑22 Apr 2023, 10:58Yeah it was like he was swinging two big logs around, foremans hooks werent quick but the were deadly as he rotated his body fully behind them. Those huge tree trunk.legs and his core strength meant there was huge momentum in them.Billy Tully wrote: ↑22 Apr 2023, 09:00I watched that the other day. The punches he's swinging versus Holyfield look like death blows. From 87-91 he still seemed to possess max power.jamesmcdonnell wrote: ↑22 Apr 2023, 03:54
I was rewatching highlights from his fight with Holyfield the other day - good lord he absorbed one hell of a beating in that fight, his head must have the density of a bowling ball.
He really was a force of nature George.

That's the speculation but looking at the technique I think it is Foreman. Foreman's technique is very uniqueGrilling Machine wrote: ↑23 Apr 2023, 00:11He might have, but that wasn't Foreman.mickey1975 wrote: ↑22 Apr 2023, 13:20If you watch that Twitter clip, he's more or less still got it now.

Agreed but it's very bad press that you probably don't want near your fight or name if you're trying to improve your image (regarding Fury). But alternatively, Ruiz probably needs the money right now...Phenomenal-Nutrition wrote: ↑23 Apr 2023, 03:40Unless there's unreported charges, I believe that's a civil order, not a criminal one. Ruiz is a strange one, he always comes across really well in interviews to me, soft-spoken and gives considered answers. But seems he has another gangster side.

I've just watched it You don't see Foreman's face while the bag's being hit and the camera pans away and back again just before and just after George is supposed to be hitting the bag. Minicabs Mickey is a right mug to fall for this.Phenomenal-Nutrition wrote: ↑23 Apr 2023, 03:41That's the speculation but looking at the technique I think it is Foreman. That's not Foreman hitting the bag. The body shape and shoulders are too defined from the back. You can see the guy's got a 'V' shaped body rather than George's '0' shape. It's all scripted as well.

Tyson Fury next fight details finally surface as Andy Ruiz Jr leaks final date and venue
Tyson Fury looks set to face Andy Ruiz Jr this summer at Wembley after The Destroyer appeared to leak the final details of their potential July showdown at Wembley Stadium. The Gypsy King was last in action back in December when he successfully stopped long-time rival Derek Chisora in a one-sided trilogy clash at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Ruiz Jr, who has a history of upsets after successfully stopping Anthony Joshua for the first time in his professional career in New York in the summer of 2019, is now in Fury's crosshairs.
The slick-handed Mexican heavyweight appears to have leaked that he will be facing Fury on July 22 at Wembley Stadium after sharing a post onto his Instagram story on Thursday.
It read: "Tyson Fury vs Andy Ruiz Jr is official! July 22nd," accompanied by an emoji of the United Kingdom flag.
Last week, reports disclosed that allegedly had provisionally reserved Wembley Stadium for July 15 and July 22 for Fury's next contest, although the opponent was still up for debate.
It was claimed that Ruiz Jr and Zhilei Zhang were the two names on Fury's hit-list but The Destroyer now looks to have got the nod as Big Bang gears up for a potential rematch with Joe Joyce.
Interestingly, it appears we could see Fury make a surprise trip to Australia prior to starting his training camp for the highly-anticipated dust-up with Ruiz.
That's because Fury has allegedly promised close friend and sparring partner Joseph Parker that he will fly Down Under to support the Kiwi in his next fight against Faiga "Django" Opelu in Melbourne on May 24.

Re: Tyson Fury vs. TBA - July 2023
If undisputed was never in the cards to begin with, everybody would be saying it's a solid fight and a legacy building bout because Ruiz was at one point the unified champion and is a legitimate top 5 heavyweight.
For me it'd be interesting to see if Fury would be the first to ever stop Andy Ruiz in the ring. If he can then Fury can turn around and say, "See Joshua this is how it's done!," and could potentially set up a Fury-Joshua clash in the winter time while Usyk is forced to defend against his mandatories. #BattleForBritain
Re: Tyson Fury vs. TBA - July 2023
I think Fury-Ruiz is a top fight and if Fury mauls him he will get clipped up close. Ruiz has fast hands and is a good finisher.
Hope we get it.

Re: Tyson Fury vs. TBA - July 2023
I think if Fury was to fight in relative terms it’s a positive thing. It kind of shows the world Fury is wanting to still engage with dangerous fighters, and not just take the mick fighting friends like old Chisora. I will believe it when I see it, but hope Fury just doesn’t end up squandering his remaining time in boxing.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. TBA - July 2023
Ruiz apparently confirmed I read
The softest defence they could sell by looks. Literally living off the 1 good result years ago in Ruiz's whole career .. and no mention he was so easily outboxed by AJ straight after that it convinced him he was a master boxer
Very poor match up as expected.

Re: Tyson Fury vs. TBA - July 2023
I don't hate the match up, but in the wake of Fury ducking Usyk, whoever the opponent, it was going to be disappointing.
On plus side:
Ruiz is a top 10 fighter. And he looked better against Ortiz than he did against Arreola.
On the minus side:
He is slow footed, and will easily be outboxed by Fury. If Fury doesn't want to engage it's an easy and likely dull win. Ruiz also hasn't exactly stayed active these last few years.
What is a bit strange about all this is that the WBC ordered the final eliminator between Ruiz and Wilder. Seems odd that they would be dictated to by team Fury. Then again they were dictated to by team Fury when he fought Whyte. And they allowed Wilder to do as he pleased for 5 years, so maybe this isn't strange at all.
To be honest, I'd much rather watch Ruiz Jr. V Wilder. That would be a far more interesting style match-up

Re: Tyson Fury vs. TBA - July 2023
Yes - Ruiz v Wilder would have been far more interesting. It would have, potentially, shown us what Wilder can do .. at present most view him as just a crude big puncher with little boxing ability. If Ruiz comes in so-so shape that could be confirmed or rubbished it.
What we know is AJ easily outboxed Ruiz. the much taller and physically bigger Fury is very likely to just as easily outbox Ruiz in a bore-fest.
Nobody expects Fury to face a risky challenge with the Saudi double header being touted .. however it's been over a year since Fury fought the shell of Whyte (not that it was certain beforehand) and almost 2 years since his last competitive fight
Fury's fight record is not gonna age well - at the moment he is comparable to Valuevs I'd say .. about as popular now too![[icon_e_sad.gif] :verysad:](./images/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif)
