There will be a new narrative and another rematch with Smith until he wins.
Liam Smith vs. Chris Eubank Jr. II | Sky PPV - 2 September 2023
Re: Liam Smith vs. Chris Eubank Jr. II | Sky PPV - 17 June 2023
I see a copy of the Joshua-Ruiz rematch. Eubank will peck and poke his way to a points victory.
Re: Liam Smith vs. Chris Eubank Jr. II | Sky PPV - 17 June 2023
Eubank may become more defensive, but that won't suit him.
Furthermore Smith is a quality operator at this level, he doesn't need a fella in front of him to find the target.

Eubank has never remotely shown the skill or ring craft to peck and poke for points against a solid operator like Smith. He literally isn’t good enough to outbox Smith. No chance.
Re: Liam Smith vs. Chris Eubank Jr. II | Sky PPV - 17 June 2023
I quite like Eubank's patter. Given what happened first time round, he did a good job in the press conference. He has bottle too, going right back in with Smith. He's growing on me.

Natasha Jonas will return on the card
Re: Liam Smith vs. Chris Eubank Jr. II | Sky PPV - 17 June 2023
Been critical of Boxxer but think this could be a good card if they get a competitive opponent for Jonas.

Still think Eubank Jr best win is Blackwell, dont forget Blackwell stopped John Ryder probably the most underrated win in Britain

I reckon Liam Williams is his best win. Not Blackwell.

I said similar earlier. If it was Billie Joe Saunders then he’d have hundreds of amateur fights to draw off. Eubank in all his wins literally has it his own way from opening bell to finish. When he encounters hardship he’s then relying on the other guy knackering himself out, that’s more or less the only way he turns it around vs Smith.
Re: Liam Smith vs. Chris Eubank Jr. II | Sky PPV - 17 June 2023
I agree. Blackwell had a win over Ryder but Ryder also lost to Fielding and Arnfield back then while Blackwell also lost a few others. Ryder's recent performances are not from the same guy that Blackwell beat and Blackwell didn't have a great resume outside of Ryder.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑30 Apr 2023, 12:51DeGale is the best name.

Abraham gets an honourable mention as biggest name aswell, well past it though
Re: Liam Smith vs. Chris Eubank Jr. II | Sky PPV - 17 June 2023
I went to Ellesmere Port to watchthe Eubank/Abraham fight in a cinema.

Seems to have sold incredibly well and much better and more quickly than I thought it would.
Jr is box office and Liam Smith is probably the number 1 NW star right now.

Tickets these days are astounding. I paid £75 for block 202 row j. That's about 6 rows from the very back. Like wise paid over £100 for my tick to the last AJ fight and again our seat was the far back upper tier you could get.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑02 May 2023, 07:46 Inflated Liam Smith vs Chris Eubank 2 ticket prices slammed

I used to remember 70 quid got you a decent seat on the lower tiers but not anymore.
