Usyk calling bluffs left right and centre. I think everyone would rather Wilder get called as WBA mandatory or get Bakole and Dubois to fight for the position first.stevec@france wrote: ↑23 Apr 2023, 11:58could all be a step aside ploy to get some decent dosh whilst actually being in recovery from the snapped ligament thing .joshj909 wrote: ↑23 Apr 2023, 11:52Apparently he's been cleared to fight but it seems to me that others in the industry have alluded to being ready to pounce if he's somehow not ready. Personaly , i'd have a good look sideways , and come away thinking i'm not sure Fwank wants the fight at all. Usyk is getting on Fury dodged him , DD can afford to wait around a litlle while , not has if theres any superstars coming up. Fwank is obviously favoring DD ahead of Joyce especielly now , But it was all a good smokescreen to take the pressure of Fury .
Got a feeling Fwank will come in with alow ball offer , Usky won't take it and Fwank will cry see its another one that Usyk dodged

Why go for the WBA belt if you’re not ready.
If Frank offered a lowball, then eventually WBA will order it. Purse will be in Usyk’s favour.
You not telling me DAZN or Sky won’t bid for it?
Frank May still bid. Either that, Dubois will have to be stripped.
Re: Oleksandr Usyk vs. Daniel Dubois - WBA Mandatory
It could be because well over a million Ukrainians have fled to Poland over the past year so they can promote it as some sort of "homecoming". Although it would probably do bigger numbers here, it wouldn't be significantly different as Dubois isn't the huge name of Joshua/Fury.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑26 Apr 2023, 07:38Cus it’s Usyk’s adopted home country?
Usyk has enough exposure in the UK. Can’t see why they wouldn’t have it here.
Re: Oleksandr Usyk vs. Daniel Dubois - WBA Mandatory
Wba can order what they want if no one wants to pay what they deem its worth its not going to happen ,, sky and dazn would they pay top dollar i don;t know , but if they don't you can't make fighters fight for peanuts ,,, Fwank may want it but low balling on the offer is a way out .Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑26 Apr 2023, 07:52Why go for the WBA belt if you’re not ready.

Dub is the "mandatory" for Usyk. They got him in that position, so he'd lose the ranking and belt, and then they can order Hrgovic.coneye wrote: ↑26 Apr 2023, 07:56Wba can order what they want if no one wants to pay what they deem its worth its not going to happen ,, sky and dazn would they pay top dollar i don't know , but if they don't you can't make fighters fight for peanuts ,,, Fwank may want it but low balling on the offer is a way out .Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑26 Apr 2023, 07:52Why go for the WBA belt if you’re not ready.

Yep but i just think they would rather Hrgovic , or similar in a year or two than Usyk now , get someone else to fight Usyk hope they win , and get Fury a crack at them DD can wait he's young ..Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑26 Apr 2023, 08:06Dub is the "mandatory" for Usyk. I can't see Debois ever being world class. They may aswell cash in their chips with him now when he's in the mandatory position. It's a marketable fight too, KO artist Debois looking to take the belts back to Britain from the AJ and Chisora conquror. Usyk-Chisora was at Wembley and Usyk-Bellow was at the O2, so you'd imagine this is as marketable now Usyk's reputation has grown further.coneye wrote: ↑26 Apr 2023, 08:11Yep but i just think they would rather Hrgovic , or similar in a year or two than Usyk now , get someone else to fight Usyk hope they win , and get Fury a crack at them DD can wait he's young ..Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑26 Apr 2023, 08:06Dub is the "mandatory" for Usyk. Also while Usyk is rightfully a huge favourite, you never know when an upset can happen in boxing for any number of reasons.

Eddie could always bid for it.
If he wins and it’s high enough, Usyk might take it. No escape route for FW and Dubois other than lose mandatory position.

I’m pretty sure they’re not looking for an escape route, just 25% of the bid will do.Frostieballs wrote: ↑26 Apr 2023, 09:00 Eddie could always bid for it.

Anyway , i'll call it now , DD dodges Usyk , Fury sits on the sidelines wanting to fight the first person t beat Usyk , if anyone can that is , or the belts start getting fragmented , if Usyk gets sick of it and retires .

Also don't forget Fwank will have paid allot of money to get Dubois in that mandatory position. He isn't there on merit. He hasn't made that investment for the fight not to get made. The lad nearly got KO'd by some unknown, no way you don't cash out and risk losing everything.

He got it by boxing on a Don King show. He will have invested before that, though.Phenomenal-Nutrition wrote: ↑26 Apr 2023, 11:18 Also don't forget Fwank will have paid allot of money to get Dubois in that mandatory position. Fwank knows Dubois is a loss waiting to happen. It is the right time to cash him out.Phenomenal-Nutrition wrote: ↑26 Apr 2023, 11:18 Also don't forget Fwank will have paid allot of money to get Dubois in that mandatory position. Re: Oleksandr Usyk vs. Daniel Dubois - WBA Mandatory
Dubois is a good guy. If he loses to Usyk it will not dent his standing at all. He has little to lose here and a nice pay day to boot.
Dubois can still rematch Joyce or take on other contenders in the future.

Re: Oleksandr Usyk vs. Daniel Dubois - WBA Mandatory
The build up will be interesting. Dubois being very polite (with Frank trying to tell him to be a bit nasty) and Usyk not speaking English while having no idea who Dubois is.

Re: Oleksandr Usyk vs. Daniel Dubois - WBA Mandatory
Frank’s in a tough spot on this and I can see it going to purse bids or Krassyuk taking the lead on it.
Usyk reportedly got $40m for his last fight and I think has 75% of the purse if it goes to bids against Dubois.
I can’t see him accepting something like £4/5m from Frank to do it at the O2. Probably more money available from a site fee or if Usyk can get comparable or even slightly lower money fighting in Poland then it wouldn’t surprise me if he does it.
If it goes to purse bids then I could see several interested parties.

I predict that it just isnt going to happen anyway .
everyone knows dd isnt ready for an elite level fight and so they will find ways to wriggle out and blame someone else .
its a joke that he is mandatory .

I can’t see them swerving it. He’s a rightful underdog but stranger things have happened. Plus he’d be able to rebuild if he did lose to Usyk and it’s an opportunity for a big pay day for Dubois.
Re: Oleksandr Usyk vs. Daniel Dubois - WBA Mandatory
Might look into going if it’s in Poland.
Dubois will be fine as long as he doesn’t get knocked out - no shame losing to Usyk on points.
