135 lb. Division

Post by NateJR »

So is the current crop of lightweights really as historically great like the media claims? Or is boxing just that thin in talent across the board, that lightweight is simply more intriguing because it does have a handful of talented young fighters?

How does this current crop of fighters compare to the divisions history? Does it really exceed the past crop of 135 lb. Fighters?

How would they stack up against the Castillos and Coralles's of the past? Or guys like JMM, Diaz and Katsidis?

I think it's too early to tell. If they all fought each other we could better evaluate.

Haney, Shak S., Loma, Tank. All good. Great? Who knows. Haney will be 140 soon. How long will it even take for the other 3 to fight? 5 years or never is my guess.
