Ask him what he calls a Chinese takeaway. However, racism isn't just saying specific racist words or phrases, his overall xenophobia, finger pointing at specific groups, stereotyping and collective labelling is racist behaviour.high tower 1 wrote: ↑30 Apr 2023, 15:17 Where has Farage been racist ? Re: John Conteh interview with Farage
Unfortunately for you, he does tend to be right. For example, when only 300 people came over on dinghies in 2018, he said there would be a flood. Last year 46,000 came over on dinghies. He said in a debate with Nick Clegg, which was denied by Clegg, that there would be a European Army. The framework for a European Army is being considered. He said Trump would win in 2016. He was right. He called out the Government for providing no help for people during Covid for those who work outside of IR35. He was right. Call him what you like, and he is marmite, but real politicians with true policy convictions are. He also likes boxing and so does Trump.joshj909 wrote: ↑01 May 2023, 07:04Ask him what he calls a Chinese takeaway. He said Brexit would allow us to take back control of our borders. But despite a hard Brexit, and the most xenophobic British government in living memory, we have record migration.
Unfortunately you cannot solve global problems (poverty, migration) as an island state.
On the other subjects, the European Army has been mooted for years in various forms. I remember it being discussed when I worked in government (in a very junior capacity) at the turn of the Century.
If it did ever exist there would be an opt out. Don’t get me started on Nick Clegg - him and Cameron put up the weakest argument in favour of remain and plonked us in this mess. (I’m guessing my desired outcome was different to yours).
Predicting Trumps win doesn’t make him Nostradamus. He also predicted he would get re-elected.

With the European Army, Europhile Clegg said it wasn't on the cards in a live debate.
Yes, he did say we could control our borders However, this Government refuses to do so and that is the reason why we have record levels of immigration. There is a difference between words and actions.
I want our laws passed in this country, not Brussels. No different to what left wingers Tony Benn and Peter Shore wanted. What is so despicable about that.
Re: John Conteh interview with Farage
Problem is the birdbrains that defend him are too thick to understand how racists can be subtle with their abuse. Not that farage is particularly subtle, however you dont have to use the 'n' word or use particularly toxic words to be a racist. It's all in the message, the point of it, the rhetoric. Farage plays on the birdbrains fear of the 'other'. He stokes the fire of xenophobia and racism to direct the travel of political discourse. He's very quiet about the 'invasion' of russian oligarchs in the UK, London especially. He's very quiet about rich people sending their money offshore to avoid paying taxes. However he is very loud at blaming asylum seekers for the ills of the UK. Brits love to punch down and the birdbrains who support snakes like farage are too stupid to see how they have been manipulated. Im done on this topic now, so if anyone feels like replying to continue backing frogface then fill yer boots birdbrains I'll just ignore them.Toodle pip.joshj909 wrote: ↑01 May 2023, 07:04Ask him what he calls a Chinese takeaway. Re: John Conteh interview with Farage
For someone who talks about ignoring a situation, you do a lot of talking. The topics you talk about are subjects your hero Starmer is strangely silent on. Farage does talk a lot about helping the engine room of the British economy which are Small and Medium Enterprises. I don't hear Starmer doing that. That must be his birdbrained racism again.blanca wrote: ↑01 May 2023, 09:25Problem is the birdbrains that defend him are too thick to understand how racists can be subtle with their abuse. There is no real point in arguing politics. Nobody is going to change their opinions. At least with boxing you may read something that might make you change your mind on a fight or fighter but Farage lovers are always going to be Farage lovers and Farage haters are always going to be Farage haters. It's boring.

Very defensive and aggressive. If you’re defending mass illegal immigration then you are the birdbrain. Let’s bring in almost 50,000 illegals on dinghies every year - many who have destroyed their identities and come from broken counties with no links the the UK - what could possibly go wrong ?? It annoys me when discussing very serious issues like that get shouted down by racism accusations.blanca wrote: ↑01 May 2023, 09:25Problem is the birdbrains that defend him are too thick to understand how racists can be subtle with their abuse. Nothing despicable mate. I just don’t agree we sacrificed that much sovereignty - less than 15% of our laws were set by the EU and in my opinion the majority were required to support a successful customs Union.Callowland wrote: ↑01 May 2023, 09:07Considering Hilary was odds on to win in 2016, Farage was right about Trump.Frostieballs wrote: ↑01 May 2023, 08:24He wasn’t right though was he? I could point to dozens of lies Farage has told and things he has got wrong, but as others have said probably best off topic.
Before signing off from this thread though, I would like to say that we don’t always have to demonise migration. It isn’t just about being kind or taken advantage of, it can also be economically beneficial in many circumstances.
Industries are closing here because of a lack of staff. We also have an ageing population that we need to support, so growing the younger workforce is essential.

Is this pointless thread still going ?
Let me guess, the argument has been reduced to 'racists are human beings too y'know'
Obviously I haven't followed Conteh's interview with Farridge but regardless of the content he's fairly innocent due to the fact he's spent his life being punched in the head.

Most of our Laws are and were passed in the UK, we had a joint say and were signataries to other join european laws, and in fact, many of the Europe wide laws, were ratified or even initialized in the UK.Callowland wrote: ↑01 May 2023, 09:07Considering Hilary was odds on to win in 2016, Farage was right about Trump.Frostieballs wrote: ↑01 May 2023, 08:24He wasn’t right though was he? The government is not investing in the infrastructure to defend out borders, nor acting in good faith with our neighbours and partners in Europe.
There are other reasons for mass migration, the destabilisaiton of Iraq and Syria, and the destruction of Libya, mean that there's now migrants pouring out across the border from libya and crossing into Europe in record numbers. Libya used to take in huge numbers of refugees and economic migrants prior to Gaddafi being offed.

Do you even know the difference between a migrant invited here to work in one of our

Your post made no sense. You have nothing to contribute except little snipes , which is typical.
To answer your question plenty of people clearly do support illegal migration - as evidenced on this thread through being called a racist if you question it.

Wait, does Farage not live in Germany with his foreign family and the likes of Tommy Robinson have taken the grift money to

I wonder do the Spanish get fed up with this many British and Irish dregs running around
