Re: John Mugabi versus Tony Ayala Jr.
Very interesting fight.
Let's not overlook that the world never saw Ayala Jr. tested by a fighter of Mugabi's ability level. On top of that there's the issue of Mugabi's bone-crushing punching power.
Something else to keep in mind: Ayala Jr. did get floored by a hard-punching club-fighter named Mario Maldonado. Junior came off the canvas to stop Maldonado in three rounds. But maybe this fight offered a hint of how El Torito might fare against big-time power hitters?
I'll go with Mugabi here. Not sure how it ends, but I think he had the goods to beat Ayala Jr.

Re: John Mugabi versus Tony Ayala Jr.
Mugabi anywhere from the 5th to the 7th round. It would start out a good fight for the first 2 rounds, but John takes over in the 3rd, and Tony begins to feel it around the 4th.

I thought the same and I believe that the Beast would stop Ayala in 6 rounds after nailing him with big overhand rights.
