Extreme showboating against a 25/1 journeyman, calling out Dan Azeez DURING the fight when he's clearly not ready, being an obnoxious cuntflapper....

He comes across as ok when he's not 'being Ben Whittaker' tbf, but he's very hard to like...
He’s fighting that had been fighting a fair bit of the unlicensed scene and wasn’t winning all of his fights there. Such a step down in ability compared to what he’d been fighting as an amateur.

I wouldn’t have had as much of an issue with it but he’s fighting guys like this but calling out guys well ahead of him when there’s no chance of it happening anytime soon.

I'd say Tank Davis - and that illustrates the class difference in WB ATM.

Interesting opener. Buatsi relaxed and sharp, Stepien is clearly no mug either though.

poland seems great at producing loads of c+/b- level guys, but rarely can they get a top world class talent, just seems something basic about them at that level

I still fail to see why people rave about Buatsi, what am I missing about him?

Good point. Had thought that recently. Where’s the stand out talent? Dariusz Michalczewski has been long retired.

Dunno, but I have felt for ages that his level isn't world champion. Could be wrong, but it would have to be a soft target.

I think he's definitely declined and not just because the skill level of his opponents has increased. Inactivity has harmed him in the ring.

Buatsi needs to produce a highlight moment in this fight. He’s controlled but not really softening the guy up.

ya, maybe adamek too, at least at cruiser he was elite. at c+/b level they have a similar scene to uk, but then drops dramatically when getting to top level
