Be a bit of fun if it happens, but I differ from most in that I think Zhang is made for Fury.
Fury will stand him on his head for the first few rounds when he is most dangerous - and then apply the hammer in the second half of the fight.
Stoppage in 8 or 9.

I still think Joyce is the man to give Fury a torrid night, whereas Zhang, despite beating Joe, is too slow of foot and low output for him.
I see a tentative Fury outpointing him quite comfortably. Arguably top three of Fury's opponents, though.

No chance Fury stops Zhang; the punch bag Chisora went 10 .. the Otter lasted the distance too. Zhang isn't fragile like Whyte nor likely to be on spaghetti legs like Wilder after 4rnds.Frostieballs wrote: ↑06 May 2023, 13:09 Be a bit of fun if it happens, but I differ from most in that I think Zhang is made for Fury.

It will be more feints than punches landed. Fury is unlikely to be as strong as Zhang so will try to keep a safe distance, and Zhang is likely to be too slow to effectively close the distance.
Fury wears people down with his size/weight advantage - he has never been a big puncher .. the Whyte stoppage said more about Whyte than Fury.

Without getting into the debate of Lewis v Klitschko, I did find it surprising at the time just how awkward and ill at ease Lewis was finally having to fight a bigger man. I'd imagine Fury might end up with a similar reality check, as Zhang won't be as tame and orderly as Wlad.tonyevs wrote: ↑06 May 2023, 14:35No chance Fury stops Zhang; the punch bag Chisora went 10 .. the Otter lasted the distance too. Lewis' issues with Vitali was more than Vit's size. Lewis was to fight Kirk Johnson who pulled out with an injury. Lewis was in perhaps his worst shape of his career for that.polecateddy wrote: ↑06 May 2023, 14:43Without getting into the debate of Lewis v Klitschko, I did find it surprising at the time just how awkward and ill at ease Lewis was finally having to fight a bigger man. That said, Fury by late KO. He'll wear Zhang out.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. TBA - July 2023
Fury isn't capable of making Zhang work as hard as Hrgovic did .. and very unlikely to be stronger than Zhang; he could even be outweighed by Zhang.
Zhang is much bigger and sturdier than Wilder. Fury likes to fight at his own plodding pace which isn't much more than Zhang's own measured efforts .. he ain't getting worn down by Fury.
But .. it's still a big IF .. Fury typically uses a live opponents name before serving up something easier.

What i think will happen Fury is counting his blessings a big slow ponderous guy demolished Joyce , he ll now make him his next fight andd continue ducking the champ Usyk. He,ll now fight Zang and beat him in a boring fight where he will run , feint and stay well away from Zang for 12 rnds
What i hope will happen Zang does,nt read the script actually goes for him and drops him right on his ass and we get rid of him once and for all

The Fury haters spewing out their daily bile.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. TBA - July 2023
Zhang doesn't come off like a script reader. He seems like he will fight just about anyone and give it a good go with the goal of becoming a champion. I'm just not sure his offence and confidence will be able to counter balance his age, gas tank and defence.coneye wrote: ↑06 May 2023, 20:31 What i think will happen Fury is counting his blessings a big slow ponderous guy demolished Joyce , he ll now make him his next fight andd continue ducking the champ Usyk. So, it looks like team Fury indeed was tergeting at Joyce, if not Usyk. Zhang proved himself to be a good fighter, but he have almost no chances against Fury.

Re: Tyson Fury vs. TBA - July 2023
If this one happens , which i doubt ,, Will we add Ruiz to the Fury dodge list , i think we can , I just don't think Fury wants a bar of the fast HARD combinations , That Mars bar Ruiz is capable of throwing once inside and i think he would get inside sooner or later ,... Since he beat Wilder , he's been associated with Ruiz , AJ and Usky and still not fought any of them ,

Will Fury fight again before December? I get the impression Usyk is the only one of the big 4 who will definitely fight before December and even that is probably only because he has no choice.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. TBA - July 2023
We know Fury, or Greedy-Belly, is all about the money about now. So taking a real risk, which is what Zhang would represent, is not in keeping with the Fury we know.
Whilst I'd favour Fury to outpoint Zhang in a very cautious and tedious affair; there is always a risk of cuts etc. because Zhang is in there until the end giving it his very limited little efforts.
Given Fury craves attention almost as much as money, and his embarrassing Usyk social media duck during negotiations. It fits in with the Fury play to use other top fighters names to promote his own .. Joyce was being referred to as THE top contender - Zhang beat him .. so use Zhang's name to promote a fight between him and the Lineal and People's Champion who is scared of no man and will fight for free .. then of course call Zhang a sausage or dosser and wait until December .. or Chisora

I’d think it’s incredibly obvious Fury won’t fight in July, and quite fancies a big, but low risk payday from the Middle East in December. It won’t be Usyk, it will probably be Ruiz. Well worth tens of millions, not!

Re: Tyson Fury vs. TBA - July 2023
Zhang is just the fighter of the minute. He would pose absolutely no problems for Fury. Much as I like Tyson fury when he started bringing up Joyce. I had to laugh because anyone with a functioning brain cell knew that Joyce wasn't a threat to the divisions top. It would have been an easy fight for Fury.
Ruiz is the way to go to properly get off rust and get rounds in before going after Joshua or Usyk. It'd be a solid name to have on the resume. Tyson might win it comfortably, but you can't really rest on Ruiz. If you stand in front of him punching you might find out he has faster hands than you thought.

All the noise is about December, cubic dollars and Fury-Usyk and Joshua-Wilder. If true, I don't expect they will be too busy until then. Not when a banana skin fight might jeopardize the riches.

So it looks like the heavyweight scene is going to lay dormant for 6 months , DISGRACEFUL , Only hope in dec the Saudis see things different and then say you guys are not even active and too a certain extent relevent so , its now a quarter of the money , take it or leave it , Also we need the relevent authorties to issue , and demand belt defences or strip them , starting with FURYRedback Rasta wrote: ↑09 May 2023, 00:21 All the noise is about December, cubic dollars and Fury-Usyk and Joshua-Wilder. Usyk won`t have the privilege to sit and wait for the pay day - as main belt holder he will have mandatory`s .. Dubs then whoever else quickly after.
It seems Simon Jordan has upset the proposed organiser by mentioning the purses to each boxer. Fury £90million .. Usyk £50 .. Wilder/AJ £30million. Thats going to make ego`s get stirred for sure; the tournament doesn`t work/sell so big without each of the 4.
Is Fury taking part worth almost double Usyk? .. is he worth 3x Wilder and AJ being there?
Fury and Usyk deserve more than Wilder and AJ .. but I not seeing how Fury is worth almost double Usyk.
Usyk was (apparently) willing to fight Fury for 30% in the first fight with percentages reversed when he beat Fury, so whilst happy to take a risk, ultimately seen himself earning equal amounts as Fury. It will be interesting to see if he is happy taking half the amount.

There was an article saying 'Chisora reveals Saudi paydays'.
In the article there's a quote from Chisora where he was on a video and he said, 'I think they will be getting £150m each'
Just guesswork.
