Duly noted m`lud.
I didn`t realise there was a link between my comments on a boxing forum and proof of Fury`s negotiation skills.
Big thanks to our Mick for enlightening us![]()

By the time any of this lot finally get in the ring together , it will be anyones fight , , They'll have all there major sponsors plastered over there Zimmaframes
Re: Tyson Fury vs. TBA - July 2023
Whilst it would still do good numbers. I think the Fury v AJ fight is long past it's sell by date now. If it happens now it will be too late to really settle the argument much as Mayweather v PAC was.

It's certainly not as big as it would have been when Fury and Joshua were both undefeated. But the fact that Joshua has lost twice and has been gunshy ever since has really put a damper on the fight.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. TBA - July 2023
If AJ were to have say a 2 fight series with Wilder, and win 'em both. THEN he'd be taken seriously again, but honestly it would take something THAT big and anything short of THAT big just ain't gonna regain him his reputation.HomicideHenry wrote: ↑12 May 2023, 16:18It's certainly not as big as it would have been when Fury and Joshua were both undefeated. He might could regain it with 1 victory if it was convincing enough. But basically that's it. He needs a marquee victory where he looks good, otherwise there's no reason for anyone to believe he isn't quite a few steps behind Fury.

Given a choice none of the 4 will fight a live opponent before the December money drop. Usyk may have to fight a mandatory with Dubois beforehand but Dubois is unlikely to trouble him.tonyevs wrote: ↑12 May 2023, 02:01 He may see negotiations as a sport, but he is as competent at it as he'd be at high board diving or synchronised swimming .. he's hasn't got a clue and lacks the physical and cognitive ability to do so.
We know how Fury and fWank work. Its all BS and duping the Fury fans and idiots (typically the same groups).
If he intends fighting in this tournament he will need a warm up for sure because he got nothing from Whytes feeble showing. So he may be fighting in the summer .. but it never was a live opponent.

The same can be said about Joshua-Wilder. It could have been a fight between the unbeaten at the top of their respective powers for all the belts.

Yes, neither are anything like what they were due to AJ and Wilder getting chinned multiple times between them. But, like Mayweather v PAC, it isn’t going to matter when it comes to £££, which is all ANY of them are interested in.Redback Rasta wrote: ↑12 May 2023, 18:26The same can be said about Joshua-Wilder. I think an AJ v Wilder fight about now is actually enhanced and more intriguing.Redback Rasta wrote: ↑12 May 2023, 18:26The same can be said about Joshua-Wilder. It could have been a fight between the unbeaten at the top of their respective powers for all the belts.
Wilder's bigger in the UK now because of his Fury fights - but there is also big question marks over his actual quality; Bellew was calling him all hype and trash before Fury seemingly exposed him .. but his KO punch is not in doubt.
AJ is seen as gun shy and on a steep decline ..
So many questions about them both.
Usyk or Fury are seen as the top guys anyways. Wilder v AJ is just seen as a shoot out
*Appols for the pre-11am post Mick. Read news then Boxrec over breakfast then out sorry

Fury was on the peeve in Tenerife yesterday. Can see him fighting closer to December than July.

He was on the peeve in Tenerife just 8 weeks before he fought Usyk in April. As long as there are no fashion shows involved, he'll be ready.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. TBA - July 2023
fWank's patience must be proper stretched. He just waiting for that 1 big payday no doubt.

So something on Facebook (so must be true) that talks collapsed as Ruiz wanted upto $18m and some PPV loot! Surely Fury wouldn't even get that much.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. TBA - July 2023
18M plus some ppv ,,, Jeez thats a lot of money ,, but then again , Fury , his father and Fwank , keep telling anyone who listen that Fury is the A game and will generate millions of buys and 100 000 at wembley , So considering he will not fight Usyk for 70-30 , he did'nt want to know Aj at 60-40 .Zabg and Joyce are unavailable , its probably not to bad what would the percentage be 80 /20 and he needs a big name , Ruiz is a name and a credible opponent.Nightmare Roy wrote: ↑14 May 2023, 17:17 So something on Facebook (so must be true) that talks collapsed as Ruiz wanted upto $18m and some PPV loot! So you can only assume that Either Fury does'nt pull the numbers they all say he does , or Once again MONEY IS THE EXCUSE

Wilder/AJ is one of the more intriguing matchups at HW right now.Redback Rasta wrote: ↑14 May 2023, 21:06I don't see that. Nor do most others. Re: Tyson Fury vs. TBA - July 2023
Usyk v Fury may be the one that settles who the top heavyweight is, and the one we all want to see, but it's not likely to be an edge of seat fight
Where as AJ v Wilder is between two equally flawed fighters. Both big punchers and both quite fragile .. it's likely to be a couple of exciting edge of seat rounds to watch.
Who else whets the appetite at heavyweight?
Bakole v Joyce/Dubs that's about it.
