We are not short of amateur boxing bouts to enter, we need more amateur boxing editors to put them in

Great. Is it possible for me to become an editor to enter them in/update them?

I have seen several amateur fights in France and notice they frequently don't appear on the site. I don't know if it is open to anyone but I am also interested in helping the site (for example by adding amateur fights).

I've read the arguments for not posting the actual numbers for the ratings, but I think they should still be shown. The most helpful instance would be bringing back the ratings "before and after" in the matchup section. I follow the sport pretty closely, but sometimes I'd like to have a little bit better idea about how highly placed a "N/R" fighter is in a 4* matchup, as there is a pretty huge gap between the higher placed fighters and the lower placed fighters in those matchups.

If anything, maybe let us see what a N/R fighter's last ranking was before he/she was designated as "inactive."

Don't know if this is the right thread, but yesterday Estelle Mossely has fought against Magali Rodriguez, the fight doesn't appear on boxrec... https://www.BS.com/euro-news-e ... aw--174238

About 1/3 of the time that I go to the main page of boxrec it's spoofed and I get a pop-up that claims I have viruses that I have to click a link to remove. This doesn't happen at any other website for me.

I suggest that boxrec takes a look at their site security to put an end to this. Hopefully other boxrec members haven't been scammed by this.

your own score should be factored into the fan average you see on the boxrec scorecards, you are a fan after all

Here is where posting some type of ranking (either past or present) would be beneficial:

Any time an "unranked" (inactive) boxer fights, people just getting into the sport and using Boxrec as a reference could have no idea how good the boxer is when all the ranking says is "N/R." Obviously, someone like Spence -- who is unranked -- is probably going to be known by a casual fan, but a fighter on the edge of the top 10 who is inactive gives no indication of where they ranked prior to their inactivity, which makes it difficult for people trying to get into the sport to understand the quality of certain fighters.

I know having the rankings quantified by numbers or listing "before" and "after" rankings on the Bout page really helped me out years ago when I was trying to get further into the sport. I don't think anyone is asking for a breakdown on what your formula is integer by integer, but I think a little more detail would be a great help.

Hi,

I have two suggestions to enhance your platform. Firstly, I propose implementing a fighter sort feature on the rating page based on the number of title fight wins/losses and the number of 1-5 star fight wins/losses. This addition would make navigating fighters more efficient.

Secondly, I greatly appreciate your star rating system, but there is room for improvement in its level of detail. Adjusting the rating increment from 0.5 to 0.1 would enable users to make more nuanced differentiations and provide a more precise assessment of fighters and fights. For example, fights such as Crawford v Spence should not be on the same level as Plant v Benavidez. They should be 5 stars and maybe 4.6 stars, respectively (based on the algorithm, of course).

Thank you for considering these suggestions. :box:

You have one of the best p4p fighters of all time with a 1 star rating , he held championship belts in 4 different weight classes and is the only boxer to move from middle up to heavyweight and achieve belts in all 4 divisions. Please box rec, roy jones jnr is 4star if not 5 star fighter . Sort it out please!!!

how hard is it to understand that one star reflects his current status as an active fighter?

There was previously a printable version of boxer's record, but I can't seem to find a link to it anywhere. Haven't used the site for a while, so maybe I'm missing something and the printable version was removed for some reason? Simply choosing "print" in browser displays everything, including the advertisement video, so there doesn't seem to be a separate version of the page in print mode.

Is the KO ratio different now in that it only calculates the KO % of wins rather than of all fights (wins, losses & draws)?
