Oh yes. Fury is so elusive. He has proven that time and time again against so many quality fighters who threw a lot of punches at him. Like, umm, well there was. Well I am sure somebody will come up with someone.
How about all those punches the ancient Klitschko threw at him? Or the Wilder I pillow fight, where he somehow managed to get decked twice. And then there was so many others.

You left out the part where he had 97 fights. Or that he actually got shot.
Besides Liston, how many times from say 1956-1965?
Come on. Don't duck the question.

ah yes, let's just delete any period that doesnt reflect well on him
mr. 25 was on his arse at the start of his career, in the middle, and the end. he was down against good fighters and mediocre ones. he was a strong guy but didnt take a punch well or defend well

That's not taking into account Fury went from 400 pounds to 260 some odd pounds, and had two incredibly weak tune up bouts against Seferi and Pianeta before jumping straight at the #2 heavyweight in the world and basically won every second of that match with the exception of those two knockdowns.Ambling Alp II wrote: ↑14 May 2023, 16:41 Oh yes. Wilder has a case regardless of how much people dislike him.

You ducked the question, yet again. Liston was the only one that knocked him down anywhere near his prime. Almost of the fights you are referring to are referring to was after he got shot and made a comeback and fought on and on when he was well past it. He was before your time so you don't care and so all you do is go on the database and count knockdowns. You don't really know anything about his ability to take a punch or his defense.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑14 May 2023, 17:35 ah yes, let's just delete any period that doesnt reflect well on him![]()

Williams is hard to guage, especially when people like to use Williams as Ali's best win of the 1960s when it's clear Williams was passed it when he fought Ali. He was a good heavyweight, even though he fought a lot of soft opposition.Ambling Alp II wrote: ↑17 May 2023, 22:34You ducked the question, yet again. To quote Sonny Liston on Cleveland Williams:
"Williams was the hardest puncher I've fought. No one wants to fight him. He can punch as hard as I can, but he can't take it like I can." So he definitely was legit. But people tend to inflate abilities to make their favorites better than what they were.

I asked flat out when ones were his prime.
You ducked it yet again, and keep talking about irrelevant fights when he was way past it.

Nobody says that Williams was the best fighter that Ali fought in the 1960s. Ali may have had his best performance in that fight. there is a difference.HomicideHenry wrote: ↑17 May 2023, 22:42Williams is hard to guage, especially when people like to use Williams as Ali's best win of the 1960s when it's clear Williams was passed it when he fought Ali. In his prime, Williams was not a great fighter, have never heard anyone say he was great. He was good. He fought some soft opposition, and some tough opposition. He had a lot of fights period.

Didn't floor Duhaupas and Povetkin Price'd him, and Yoka did him in one. now we can say Duhaupas was last prime then, but that's as if Duhaupas was every anything in his prime, .Controversial wrote: ↑13 May 2023, 17:48Klit was big puncher too. Price could bang as well. You are twisting words again, no one said very fewCask wrote: ↑13 May 2023, 16:31 Very few heavyweights manage one punch KOs? Well if Szpilka counts as a one punch KO even though he took quite a few punches in that fight, most heavyweighr bangers have many clean KOs on their record, as many or more than Wilder. How many guys has Klitschko knocked out around the level of Molina, Szpilka and Breazeale? That a all his KOs are is contenders of that level or below
HWs manage one punch KOs. As was said before Wilder is pretty poor technically, he gets outboxed and can look very average but to have the KO ratio he has shows he can punch. I think he has managed to floor everyone he’s fought and several were laid out from one punch.
Coming back from being hurt by Eric Molina. Yeah, showed good heart, but it's Eric Molina. He also claimed to have hurt everybody he fought even Arreola when he took the ten count in the first. Joshua hit him so hard his head bit his was and people were remarking how frightened he looked, he never looked frightened of Wilder.
Stiverne didn't get floored in the first fight (when he was relatively in shape)and there's things like the obvious Malik Scott dive
Re: Deontay Claims to be to the BBOAT (best banger of all time)
Ok, most durable fighter Wilder ever fought?? His record is filled with stoppage victims, C level stopppages
Re: Deontay Claims to be to the BBOAT (best banger of all time)
Guys like Kertson Manswell and Damon Mccreary when I'm his 25th fight come on
McCreary was undeafeated, pity he was a retired middleweight
there's some dross on all big pinches records but come on, would Wilder have this reputation of they stick him in with a real fighter on his way up who could have taught him something instead of selective matchmaking. Fury 1 was selective matchmaking because Fury was a state at that time.. He hit him with the hardest punch of all time and Fury who has been flooded by Cruiserweights, was definitely out, it was a massive punch, but he got up and won the round and Wilders face when Fury got up is the face of a man used to having his own way shattering because they never taught him or allowed him except the notion he might be beaten. He literally talks about killing people with his fists, he thinks he is a God, that's why the Fury loss hit him so hard
