Yaqui Lopez vs. Murray Sutherland

Post by scorpio83 »

15 Rounds Light Heavyweight Bout

Lopez would wear Sutherland down with good body punches and then he would either knocks him out with a big left hook or right hand in 8 rounds. What do you guys think and who do you got?

Yaqui Lopez was too good for Murray Sutherland. It would have been a great fight, no doubt, but ultimately Yaqui has too much firepower and tactical skill. Anything Sutherland does, Lopez does a bit better.

Lopez wins by decision or later round TKO. Most likely a decision.

Again, I emphasize that this would be a competitive fight. Sutherland wouldn't get wiped out. He'd give Yaqui a run for his money.

This would have been interesting. Would lean towards Lopez, but Sutherland would have a shot. They fought in an exceptionally deep era for the division. Had these guys fought in a later era they would have had a WBS light heavy title.

You meant they would have fought for the WBA or WBO light heavyweight title.

WBO, WBA, WBC, IBF, WBS. All the same.
