I haven't watched Angott's films, but I've read that he was extremely experienced and that he excelled as a pressure-fighter.

I did watch HD Jr. fight's from 1976 onward, including his Jim Watt defeat. I thought that Davis showed signs of having trouble with pressure fighters. He showed vulnerabilities against Vilomar Fernandez, even though he won. Then of course Watt beat Davis by a fairly wide, clear margin.

So I'll say that Angott would probably beat Davis.
