That's BS, it's just that Clarke needs a couple of 12 rounders first and an 18 week training camp

-His opponent is blissfuly unaware driving uber in serbia and selling single cigarettes to school kids as a side hustle...

The father and son social media comedy thing is going way better than his actual boxing career, I wouldn't be surprised if it becomes his main priority, and the boxing as a side hustle.

It does wind me up to hell when that happens.

To be fair to Fisher tho the Spanish guy he fought and his last opponent were announced something like 8 weeks out.

Seeing him struggle a touch with the Spaniard I think flicked a switch tho.

And in fairness Frazer Clarke is supposedly knocking on British title fights and his opponent is announcer 3-4 weeks out. Tommy Welch’s opponent was announced in the last few days for a fight this weekend.

It’s refreshing that Franklin Ignatius vs Steve ‘Geordie Drago’ Robinson has been announced with so much notice.

My 16 year old son said he had seen a video of 'an old fat man' saying bosh repeatedly. Suspect its him

They fill up nightclubs all over the place. Not just in the South east. Everyone can moan but tell us all how you make your money and we’ll all call you a pudendum on here.

Just seen that Thomas Carty might be an upcoming opponent for Johnny Fisher. I reckon Carty goes through him personally. Carty’s feet are very good whereas Fisher’s aren’t in my opinion.

I don’t begrudge the Fishers. They’ve found a way to monetise Johnnys limited ability so credit to them.

I can’t see the Carty fight happening. Too much of a risk for a very good ticket seller at this stage.

Apparently Fisher is in advanced talks to face Knollsy, with Hearn calling the show 'Hammer to Fall'

Jokes aside I think the board really need a minimum notice for fights depending on rounds.

number of rounds divided by 2 would be a good bar minimum and in my opinion is pushing it. (Personally I’d rather number of rounds x 0.75)

Have an ability to apply for late replacements but have a process, part of which is showing the new opponent has been training…

It really is a sad indictment on society when watching some old fat southerner order loads of Chinese food is classed as entertaining.

Christ sake, read a book or do something slightly more productive.

I agree Mav, that family puts bums on seats at boxing shows and in my view that's good for the sport because some casuals turn into fans like us, only not as good looking.

It's more of a video podcast with boxing guests, well the 3 shows I've watched have been that.
I think it's slightly better than our yoof spending hours watching other yoof playing video games, that has to be the bottom of the barrel

A sure sign that society is in the gutter. What is entertaining about seeing a fat old man ordering food and then saying bosh a few times?

I only ever believe that if the opponent comes out and says it.

To be fair when he fought Danny Whitaker I can remember it was announced he’d be on the card in Eddies garden against an as yet un named opponent. I messaged him on his Instagram and asked who the opponent was and he said Danny Whitaker, this was some 8 weeks out and Whitaker had only just fought, I forget against who. Then boxrec listed the opponent as Josh Sandland. No announcement or comments from anyone that this was the opponent, and then sure enough the week or fortnight before the fight Whitaker ends up being the opponent. Even then Whitaker came in 9-10lbs heavier than his previous fight so he can’t have been slaving away that hard in the gym.

They won't know the opponent until Big John orders his Chinese from Uber Eats on the night...

Whitaker is not a slaving away sort of guy. He's back on the unlicensed circuit round here now.

I guess you gotta be a heavyweight to carry big fishers order from the car to the front door, so probably not a bad matchmaking technique.
