Re: Duane Bobick vs Mac Foster
The great white hope versus the great black hope.
I tend to think Bobick had more potential to have been something, but that Foster was the more effective puncher. Norton bombed out Bobick in a round, Quarry bombed out Foster in six rounds. Even if you gave Bobick a pass on the loss because Norton inadvertently hit Bobick in the throat, I'd give a slight edge to Foster.
If Bobick could survive the early onslaught, he'd have the chance to win. But considering Duane's losses all came early, I think it favors Foster.

Mac Foster would jump Bobick and KO him in 2 rounds.
Re: Duane Bobick vs Mac Foster
It could go either way.
Foster wasn't much of a fighter, but he could hit like hell and took a whale of a punch. Bobick was plodding, hittable, and chinny, but an effective inside mauler assuming he could withstand his foes' power.
I don't think Duane had the power to do much damage to Foster. On the other hand, Foster had the voltage to KO Bobick at any point.
I'd rate this 60% chance of Foster winning against 40% chance for Bobick. If Foster wins, it's most likely by early round KO. If Bobick takes it, it's because he successfully withstood Foster's bombs, dominated the infighting, and takes a decision.
There is a slight chance that Bobick wins by KO. That would happen if Duane gets inside and beats Foster's body for seven or eight rounds, leading to Mac collapsing from loss of stamina.

Foster around the fifth round. Stronger punch.
