Nah come on mate, they’re chalk and cheese. Vastly different styles
O mean that they both have a reckless streak and it counts against them.
That’s true. I remember a podcast a few years back where Mick said he wants to strangle Jamie sometimes because of the way he gets drawn into scraps.

Jamie Conlan couldn’t take it to the body at all. Always seemed to be in trouble after taking one to the stomach.

Lopez was impressive. Throwing bolo punches in the 4th round before flattening Conlan in the 5th.

Did anyone else hear about Nick Ball's opponent Ludumo Lamati getting rushed to hospital last night? I seen something but totally forgot all about it until I seen a statement from Queensbury, still in hospital, his vital signs are stable, hope he's ok , not to get on my high horse but that fight should've been stopped a round or 2 before, Lamati was too brave for his own good

This suicide punch.... The long uppercut fired from way out with a leg spring has suddenly become the punch of top Mexicans.

Said to be sedated but stable as of this morning, he took a lot of big shots in there, very tough lad but I agree, think the writing was on the wall and an earlier stoppage looked the sensible decision on the balance of things.

Lopez is a bit of a beast, really unorthodox but a relentless little fcuker and seems to have a solid chin too. Very tough night's work for most in the division.

I thought Conlan lost to Baluta and I had the Doheny fight close. If you put him in against Nick Ball I'd be picking Ball. I never got the hype of Conlan myself. I hope he retires now. I'm sure he has made good money. Two bad KO's are not good for the nervous system. Time to settle down and enjoy life after boxing for me. He wasn't quite good enough.

Complete and utter failure by Ludumo Lamati’s useless corner and the blundering referee, all of them hopelessly out of their depth when tasked to look after a very brave fighter.

Presumably they will all be now wondering what the f*ck they were thinking on Saturday night, all of them should be held accountable.

He was clearly underprepared against Rahman.

He had no issues in the rematch.

Do you really give Conlan a chance in a rematch against Lopez?

Warren said Lamati had a brain bleed.

He’s in medically induced coma.

Lopez v Conlan was as clear a case of 'man versus boy' as you will see.

Lopez's style reminded me of a mixture of Julio Cesar Martinez & Takaloo !!

Conlan's short comings were severely exposed by Lopez, who won at a canter and was having the time of his life dropping unorthodox bombs through an ill equipped defence.

The result also reinforces what a good performance Josh Warrington turned in against Lopez last year.

Now Warrington v Leigh Wood I would love to see !

Surely Warrington isn’t relevant anymore ?He should have a crossroads fight with Nick Ball - if he wins that he can look to maybe getting another world title shot, if he loses it’s curtains

No objection to either of the match ups you both mention...great fights indeed....let's see them !

Warrington v Wood is just a fight i'd like to see for the English fans. Both well supported and who've proved their credentials.
