No one on this board would last 30 seconds with Tyson from 88.

I can run real good and I know how to jump over the ring ropes. Jump over and you get 20 seconds to get back in. Think about it!

Spinks didn't try to run he tried to engage Mike and that's why he got bombed out of there.

Not even the Boxers on the board would make it 1 round with Iron Mike. Mike in the mid-late 80s KO'd guys better than Van Sickle & Chauncy within a round.

The reason no one would make it is because Mike charged right in there, not like he danced around the issue, he'd just move in on you and KO you. Personally I don't think I'd even make a minute, unless I just sold out and ran for my life, then maybe. Of course I am only 160 pounds so what the hell am I in the ring with Mike Tyson for anyway. I should be running from the likes of a late 80s Nigel Benn.

Well , Ive sparred with a couple guys who have fought him .
James Quick Tillis and Alfonso Ratliff. Alfonso used to give me a helluva time.
Tyson destroyed him . So I have a little perspective.
If I fought him I dont think it would have gone too well.

depends if I'm armed with a highly powered machine gun.

If not than a fraction of a millisecond. My skull will leave the earth's atmosphere.

I would eat Mike up, he would duck me so it wouldn't matter.

Well...I can't say I could take Tyson on, let alone last a full round with him, but if someone offered me a couple of G's or a kool million to face Tyson...whats the worse that could happen except get slapped around like a bitch and get knocked out?

I'd face Tyson. But like in the original ROCKY movie...I'd be going like:

"If I can just go those 3 minutes...I will know for the first time in my life, that I wasn't just some bum from the neighborhood"

This has got to be the most singularly unoriginal thing discussed when people sit around watching boxing. It's a bit like playing monopoly and staring with awe at the paper notes and saying, "Just imagine if this was all real"...

The better question is, “how long could Tyson last with The Great John L”?

The Great John L TKO1 over Tyson :TU:

John L- Are you talking Marquis of Queensbury rules? I am skeptical that you could pull a 1 round Ko over Tyson off under those rules.
Under London Prize rules, I do like your chances. :TU:

it was tysons speed more than his power that knocked you out if you can handle his speed and see his punches coming then you could take his shots . tysons power was average.

I have serious doubts Tyson could KO Welliver in 1 round.

The Tyson of the Mid to late 80's would. Even if he didnt KO him it would be the worst round of Chauncy's career, and he would be wishing he was KO'd. I know Chauncy can absorb punishment, but we are talking an all time heavyweight top 20 (top 10 in some peoples lists) here.
