10 Round MW bout.
Would've been a great styles bout.
I'd pick DeWitt to take a narrow decision.
DeWitt and Geraldo were essentially both Hot and Cold types of Boxers.
Obviously that's when one bout you look surprisingly good and capable, and then in another bout you "Lay an Egg", figuritively speaking, as the ole saying goes.
This one would boil down to they're specific styles I think, and DeWitt seemed like the Naturally better defensive skills boxer.
DeWitt going the the distance with Tommy Hearns is probably the obvious example of this.
Geraldo was generally very gritty and rugged though, and usually well conditioned in the Big Bouts.
DeWitt Could get Gun-Shy at times. He'd Have to not be overly defensive versus Geraldo, otherwise he'd get outworked.
If DeWitt focused on mainly stick and move and a high emphasis on counter-punching, then he likely has this one.
It's basically a 60-40 bout in favor of DeWitt, meaning, Geraldo winning this bout wouldn't have been upset of the year obviously. DeWitt would've definitely had a rough tough day at the office versus Geraldo, who would've been the pressure fighter, while DeWitt would Have to work really hard and carefully in order to prevail.
Marcus Geraldo vs Doug DeWitt
Re: Marcus Geraldo vs Doug DeWitt
I pick DeWitt, assuming he fights up to full ability level. He'd take a decision.
This is a great fight, BTW.
