Re: Tyson Fury vs. TBA - July 2023
When's the deadline to get it signed, midnight tonight?
Re: Tyson Fury vs. TBA - July 2023
Getting those excuses in early.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. TBA - July 2023
Midnight the day before they approached AJs people would be my guess.
The hiatus from social media must have been torture for Fury; he is back on it like an alcoholic back on the beer after a dry period ... its amusing to wait and hear tomorrow who else he is in talks to fight
Fury is making Nik Valuev`s reign look more impressive all the time.

But it won`t be the type of air-time he craves. Every social media post i read now is 95% negative and calling him out for ducking serious challenges.
He is so well known for lying everytime he moves his lips that even his claimed 6`9" height is being called out and ridiculed.
Its blatantly obvious Fury has gone from `The Peoples Champion` to `The Village Idiot` since ducking AJ and Usyk![]()
Amongst the casuals too
A bit of balance I think.

So if he's saying Joshua in September, then it can't be Usyk in December can it?
I think he's lost the plot.

Is strange how it's all turned out.
Two guys that most people have basically written off have become the biggest attraction in the heavyweight division because the best heavyweight in the world overplayed his hand and derailed the most important fight in three decades.

Hearn Ready To Offer Filip Hrgovic To Tyson Fury, Doubts He Takes The Fight
“Say you’re playing matchmaker for Tyson Fury, and you look at the rankings. Imagine AJ fights Dillian Whyte then Wilder and Usyk fights Dubois. I’ll tell you if he wants, he can fight Filip Hrgovic," Hearn told Boxing Social.
Hearn does not expect Fury to take the fight, because of Hrgovic's punching power.
"Tyson Fury is smart, he doesn’t want a risky fight. Hrgovic is mandatory for the IBF, but Tyson will say, 'I’m not fighting him, nobody’s heard of Hrgovic! But there will always be a line," Hearn said.

Andy Ruiz Responds To Tyson Fury’s Claims He ‘Priced Himself Out’ Of Fight
Ruiz took to Instagram to respond, although didn’t outright confirm the amount. What he did say was that the champion ‘couldn’t be greedy.’
“What happened with Fury? I don’t know, he’s saying that I wanted too much money, 20 million dollars. He can’t be greedy in this sport. He can’t be asking for too much. But we’re trying to stay in the middle, but there’s other things coming.”

Tyson Fury’s Mandatory Challenger Expected To Be Announced
Tyson Fury is having a hard time finding a dance partner to challenge for his WBC World Heavyweight title, but the sanctioning body are apparently about to make things a whole lot simpler.
allegedly has now told TalkSPORT that he will be meeting with the WBC’s President, Mauricio Sulaiman, this week, and he expects them to call a mandatory defence.
Working down the rankings, it’s still perhaps no clearer as to who will end up in the ring with Fury. Contenders don’t have to accept a mandatory challenge if the letter lands on their doorstep.
As mentioned, Wilder is number one. He’s all but ruled out given he’s faced Fury three times, drawn one and lost two, and is, by all accounts, days away from signing to face Anthony Joshua at the end of the year.
Ruiz at number two has apparently already been approached but asked for too much money. A mandatory challenge could sort this with the purse split pre-determined.
Next up is Anthony Joshua, who has the Wilder plans and is dubious as to whether or not Fury’s latest fight offer was real.
In at number four is Cuba’s Frank Sanchez – a 22-0 heavyweight who’s yet to have a twelve rounder. He doesn’t currently have a fight scheduled.
At number five is Arslanbek Makhmudov, a Russian knockout artist who’s due to fight on July 1, and may have problems challenging for the WBC’s belt given their sanctions on his country.
Sixth is Dillian Whyte, who Fury beat handily last year, followed by Martin Bakole at number seven. Bakole has said he’ll fight Fury, but it’s hard to see the sanctioning body going that far down the rankings for a mandatory defence.
In short, Fury may have an opponent presented to him soon – whether or not that materialises into the September fight in the UK that he so desires remains to be seen.

Re: Tyson Fury vs. TBA - July 2023
The WBC needs to force somebody onto Fury and I hope it is Andy Ruiz. Arum swears up and down Fury isn't prohibited from fighting in the USA, etc. It needs to happen. Let's get the show on the road. The champion needs to defend the belt, knock off ring rust, and zero in on Usyk.

WBC Prez: “Tyson Fury is a Victim of What The World is Today - Nobody Wants To Fight Him!”
Sulaiman said: “Fury is a victim of what the world is today. They have abused [the situation] and over-priced [themselves]. Nobody wants to fight Fury. He wants to fight everyone and he’s open to fighting everyone.
“So the WBC ordered Wilder to fight Ruiz in a final eliminator and therefore mandatory position. They have not fought; we ordered that seven months ago.
“While we were waiting, everyone thought Fury was going to fight Usyk in March. So we were confident, waiting and waiting and waiting but it didn’t happen. Now, nobody wants to fight him - they say they will fight him but only for X amount of money, which is impossible because that money is not there. Or they want specific conditions or whatever.”
He added: “Fury needs to get into the ring so we are going to address what is happening with Wilder and Ruiz.
“If they are not going to fight a final eliminator then we have to go and find something and order a mandatory for Tyson Fury.”

There’s a few who want to fight Fury
Sadly its all about Saudi or Middle Eastern “oil” money
Forget all of the fight for free nonsense
Its prizefighting. To be honest. We’d all do the same.
