Sergey shoulda got a draw there poor bastard !

I don't think even the very pro-Mung crowd would begrudge him that.

I can't believe how much bigger Munguia was than Dervyanchenko. I know Dervyanchenko is a small MW, but still, damn.

Derev has had the weirdest carrer 14-5… never a world champ. But had he been a A-side he could arguably be 18-1… brittish A-side Mabey even 19-0 hahah…

In a different world he could be a multi weight world champ with wins over all time greats…. Instead he is a chisora like gatekeeper…

Nice fight. I was sure, that Derev had been shot, but he was able to give another great losing perfomance.

Poor Derevyanchenko. All the defeats on his record are close decision loses to top guys.
He even went up a weight-class for this fight.

You can't help but feel bad for him.

Excellent fight!!

Right from the start.

Very close. Mung pulled it out.

I don’t think you can argue much.

I would have a draw, if not the KD. But, yeah, it's tough to argue, when one guy finishes so strong in a close fight.

Very good fight. Chenko is like a wrecking ball with a very effective footwork in closing the distance, has good combos, a great counter puncher, strong , gritty and resilient fighter.

Realistically this fight was more like a draw or at best a SD win for Mung mostly bc of the kd and how he finished the 12 round but lets be fair that Chenko won pretty much all rounds.

Also Chenko gave hell to GGG and Jacobs and those fights should've been draws but it was what it was.

I think Chenko should try to get a title bc he really deserves to have one. Chenko would beat Lara, Falcao or Janibek.

Chenko is really racking up tough, close loses.

I hope he gets a title at some point.

Incredible fight, had Munguia 115-112, the action constantly swung back and forth, Munguia wobbles Derevyanchenko with a left hook in the 2nd then Derevyanchenko hurt Munguia in the 5th and battered him senseless for the remainder of the round, Munguia's chin is insane but his defence was non existent, he took some big clean shots in there, was really impressed with the Derevyanchenko, his heart and willingness to try not allow Munguia to get on top was commendable, Munguia all heart as well finally got to Derevyanchenko in the 12th put him down with a sweet left to the stomach, didn't think Derevyanchenko was getting up but he somehow dragged himself to his feet, Munguia a bit sloppy going for the KO, Derevyanchenko was done but somehow managed to hear the bell, credit to both men, warriors

Best night of boxing in a long time. Of course, it has been a relatively long time since I have watched any boxing live, even on tv.

How come? Or you count some of his title losses as robberies?

What a great, evenly matched fight it was last night. Very impressive by both combatants. Sergiy nearly pulled it off. Munguia proved his resilience in deep water.

I salute them both.

114-113 Munguia for me; I agree with Dr Duke, I thought SD was shot coming in and never expected such a great bout. Broke even last night cause I backed Taylor.

No, he’s not. I was mistaken.

I thought he was the IBF champion when DJ beat him, but the belt was vacant.

Thought it was an easy fight to score. And had SD up. Couldn't giver the Mung-ster more than 5 rounds. SD could have had a 10-8 for round 5.

my card was

sergey: 1, 3, 5, 8, 9, 10
mungy: 2, 4, 6, 7, 11, 12 + kd

6 a piece, with mung edging it with the kd. like 2 of the judges i thiought sergey was ahead going into the 12th, but mung scraped it out with the final round kd. although i agree the 5th was boarderline 10-8 even without a kd for sergey, but not quite enough for me to score it that way. fair decision, was actually expecting wider cards

awesome fight, great back and forth action throughout, a late round comeback and final round drama to determine the result
