Of corse Joyce looks more slow and crude than George , big guys nearly always do. Joyce is 3 inches taller and 30lbs heavier than prime Forman. Joe makes prime George look tiny.

People suggesting Joyce’s jab isn’t as good as georges.. definatly not as proven but the only fight he used it for a sustained period he litraly broke his opponents face….

George's jab was far better.

:TU: he threw it from the waist later on in his career and it was hard to predict if it would be a head or body jab, he thew it like he wasn't even paying attention. Sort of nonchalantly. But it was mostly accurate and fairly hard.

guys can have similar styles yet one guy can be a far better fighter, i always lol when people get triggered by comparisons that are meant about style and not ability, it's not someone saying that fighter a is at fighter b's level bruh! ppl do that all the time

its quite possible to have the same stance, same approach, same punch selection, etc as a superior fighter. besides, sometimes even if 1 fighter is much better they can still share similar strengths or weaknesses. george was an atg but he was defo a slow poke too

Do you think that Foreman and Joyce shared the same approach and punch selection?

i think somewhat similar, yep, two clubbing dudes who throw the whole range of power shots. they are both often the slower man in the ring too and not all that tough to hit. usually the other guys have neater/prettier technique as well. but the big (gf was bigger than most his opponents) guys plod their opponents down and then grind them down with clubbing shots

obvs georgey was another level and they arent clones, but defo some similarities there

I can see where you're coming from, but Big George's punch variety was greater and he was a bigger puncher, whereas Joe is a volume puncher (a dripping water wears away stone type of guy).

I also feel that Joe is defensively irresponsible, but Big George's defence was very competent.

But that said, I can definitely see their stylistic similarities whenever they compete.

Martin Bakole says he's fighting Yoka next. Not a bad matchup, Yoka will be the favorite.

So what happened to Bakole v Hrgovic for the IBF final eliminator for their mandatory challenger position?

Don't get me wrong this could be a better fight, i'm not complaining. Yoka will start favourite but there is a fragility about Yoka that makes the physically very robust Bakole a dangerous opponent for him.

Bakole should get beat but having a chinny gold medalist infront of him is one hell of an opportunity to get that carrer moving again.

It’s funny that none of the above have done much since the thread was made. Jalolov won a Gold medal and is unbeaten but what is he doing right now?

Last I heard he moved Brooklyn this past October and wants to continue his career with a new team. Nothing since.

I just thought the same. Still no update. He's been inactive for 25 months with nothing planned. He's only 28 so he's wasting his prime.

Sirenko's last fight with Rudenko was clearly fixed.
Ref stopped the fight for absolutely no reason
Have a look at it
It's the worst fix since Malik's dive against Wilder. :shame:
