Julio Cesar Chavez vs. Antonio Cervantes

Post by scorpio83 »

15 Rounds Junior Welterweight Bout

Either Chavez outhustles Cervantes with good body punches and left-right on the face to take a decision or stopping him late or Cervantes would outbox him behind his jabs and counter combinations from long range to take a decision. What do you guys think and who do you got?

This is a very interesting Hypothetical indeed !
Cervantes would have quite a bit of height and reach on Chavez.
This one could go either way. It's a Very 50-50 type of bout.
One or the other Could get a late rounds tko.
I think if it goes the distance then it's going to look very hard to determine who deserves the decision.
AC would probably be the slight favorite.

JCC Superstar was a level or two above Cervantes, and would win. But I can't say how the fight plays out.

Cervantes with his height and reach would give Chavez hell early, but I feel like Chavez's steady attack would break him down over the course of the fight, and he'd wind up stopping Cervantes late.

15 rounds, lets be real, Cervantes UD over those 15. But it would be a good fight.

A tough fight for both fighters. I would pick the great Julio Cesar Chavez in the later rounds. Can Antonio Cervantes Kid Pambele stop Chavez? I don't think so. Chavez at the time of his prime had one of the greatest chins that boxing ever witnessed.
