Stoppage was good. Julian took lots of hard shots. The refs save the fighters from themselves.

I could see Charlo going back at 160 to fight Munguia, with the wbc mw title on the line, after the fight with Canelo at 168. Adames would need to wait.

They already tried to make that fight, with no success. Adames will be in front of Munguia for sure, holding the interim belt. If Charlo doesn't vacate, they will strip him. If Charlo gets Canelo he'll go on a 3 year drunk, and he'll be done.

Well, they could not make Charlo - Mung fight bc Charlo is adamant/has to cash in/ sell his 0/ undefeated wbc champion status first to Canelo in a big money fight which makes a lot of sense. It doesn't make no sense to risk his 0 and his title first against Mung in a less profitable fight than the Canelo fight.

Also Charlo is very coddled by wbc and they would probably grant another special exception for Charlo to keep his mw title safe for a fight with Munguia, meanwhile he would fight Canelo at 168. Its all about the numbers.

It wasn't just a simple coincidence that Charlo was off for 2 fcking years without being stripped of his title. Charlo wisely took his time to stay safe bc he knew that Canelo would want to fight him in the near future. His big handler/boss is a business and a strategist genius.

Martinez/Bornea was a nip/tuck fight for 8 rounds or so before Bornea's ear burst open, Martinez then got on top before forcing the stoppage, good fight though
