Mancini vs Kim a tragedy but a great fight

Post by tiny_acres »

I just rewatched the Mancini vs Kim fight and it still was one hell of a scrap.
If it were not for the death of Kim this would of been a fight of the year contender

I remember thinking something like this when I studied the fight. I was convinced that, based on his strong performance, Kim would have been regarded as a legitimate contender afterwards if he had only survived.

Sometimes world class fighters earn their spurs through a great losing effort against a dominant champion. For Kim, this would have been one of those fights.
