Some people will make you look like crap no matter what. Dezurn has an ugly style. Marshall performs best as a textbook boxer throwing jabs. Congratulations Savannah and Peter Fury. A win is a win. Some nights are just gonna look uglier than others.

I think promoters should realise that 2 women’s fights on a main card, at the moment, is too much. The depth of quality simply isn’t there and the Jonas/Wyatt fight shows that. That was pretty quickly followed by a hard watch in the Marshall/Crews-Dezurn fight.

I know Matchroom lead the way for womans boxing but because they put on that many shows I don't mind, Boxxer on the other hand seems to be near 50/50 male/female fights, it's honking

I'm all for woman's boxing getting recognition and airtime, I've got 3 girls, one of which is football daft and has played since she was 7/8 year old so I'm no one of these dinosaurs, I love that woman's sport is thriving but that doesn't mean I watch or take any interest, there's been a few woman's fights I've watched but most of it I skip or roll a joint for


Id imagine the day Claressa Shields gets iced will bring me more joy than when Burns/Martinez, Barker/Geale or Lee/Korobov happened

I imagine in the 90s the Sky contract stated a certain number of world title fights had to be delivered by promoters as part of their deal. We ended up getting the WBF/WBU most Saturday nights (you said world title fights, you didnt say which world titles!)

Eventually wise to this, Sky probably got in the contract that these world title fights needed to be from WBC/WBA/IBF/WBO to cut out the chaff. Along comes women's boxing and voila! (you said recognised world title fights, you didnt say which gender!)

That's a hunch, but it wouldnt surprise me.

And the best thing is, there’s only about 10 female fighters in each division, so you’re never too far away from a world title

One of the worst spectacles I've seen for a long time. Nobody should come away claiming undisputed status after that. Never mind three minute rounds, they need to drop them to one minute. Spare us all.

It was pretty shocking and Marshall played her part in that too , seemed really flat footed and couldn't maintain distance , kept falling in .
Right winner though , but it was a tough watch .

I think that is due to this ridiculous style she's trying to maintain. Lurching about in a weird hunched stance. Swaying, burning up energy. It's a Hughie Fury style so must be deliberate. When she stood tall, used the jab and right hand she was far better.

Didn't see the fight. Women's boxing is getting too predictable. You can plan to miss the ring entrance and work out the time for the end of the last round to tune in and see the result.

Women want equality so give them 3 minute rounds over 12 for a title fight. The out come in most fights would be different

Just reinforces my dislike of womens boxing , how the hell that rubbish can be on tv has me stuffed, and while were at it Marshall needs to go with a coach who,s actually gonna teach her something, dismall watching that jab from the hip , no distance in it just come to close throw from the hip , follow with a right , Savanagh has not a clue about getting her distance right , falling in with every punch terrible boxing skills

Couldn't agree more. Cumbersome to the extreme. Punch technique wasn't good. Telegraphing the right hand to the point where it was being seen by Nasa satellites in space. The windmill technique with the right hand was also on display and thrown regularly. Peter Fury looked delighted when he was saying he doesn't see her until a fight is scheduled and then she comes to the gym for the camp. No improvements then. He's taught her everything he can at this point and we see the result. Never beating Shields in a million years. I did warn people that Crews was shambolic in the pre fight thread. What can you do, this is what boxing fans are being force fed in this era.

I'm a big boxing fan but I'll need to be paid to sit through 36 minutes of it. Imagine sitting through a Lauren Price or Karris Artingsall 12 rounder. Christ sake man have some compassion.

I cringe when i see a well paid profesional boxer man or woman , who does'nt even grasp the basics of distance , the ability to know and understand your distance allows you to set up punches knowing EXCATLY where you can and cannot not only punch from but make your opponent fall short , , Only last night helping out at a gym i took 5-6 lads and shown them , by inviting them to give me a tap on the head , not one could do it , , and we turned it into a big game when not one of them could stop me , from tapping them , We then spent 15 min or so discussing , how important it is to KNOW YOUR DISTANCE .
This is a so called wold champ , being trained by sa so called top trainer and she has not got a clue . fornicate sake teach her to stand tall , box with the correct distance and move , and she probably would'nt of got hit all night , SHAMBOLIC

savy is slow and lumbering, now that she has some belts they should put her back in with undersized washerwomen so people think she's some KO monster again

Poor card, and poor main event. Marshall has learnt nothing from the defeat, have to wonder what Fury is actually teaching her. Not a lot in my book.
