Incorrect. If Dubois beat Usyk, then that would make him more of a terror than Usyk. With this logic, Usyk did Fury's dirty work by beating Anthony Joshua, and that solves nothing, because now there's an Usyk. If you think Fury doesn't want to fight Usyk, then why the f*ck would he want an even bigger monster than Usyk to exist?

Daniel Dubois: Oleksandr Usyk to defend heavyweight titles against Briton on 26 August
Heavyweight world champion Oleksandr Usyk will defend his WBO, WBA (Super) and IBF titles against Briton Daniel Dubois in Wroclaw, Poland on 26 August.
Ukrainian Usyk, 36, will face Dubois - the WBA mandatory challenger - at the 24,000-capacity Tarczynski Arena.
Dubois, 25, holds the WBA (Regular) belt and has won 19 fights, with 18 knockouts, and been defeated once.
"He is a great fighter and I do respect him, but it's my time now," Dubois said.
"I'm going to shock the world and show people how good Daniel Dubois really is."
Pound-for-pound star Usyk has won all 20 professional fights and will make a second defence of his unified title.
"I am very glad that we have the opportunity to organise my fight in Poland, where I won my first world title seven years ago," Usyk said.
The fight, originally scheduled for 12 August, was pushed back by two weeks to more closely align with Ukraine's Independence Day, which falls on 24 August.
Following Russia's invasion of Ukraine, more than a million Ukrainian refugees relocated to Poland.
"I want to thank the Polish people who are helping Ukraine so sincerely," Usyk added: "Hundreds of thousands of my compatriots have been hosted by this wonderful country.
"Therefore, I hope that my fight will become one more opportunity for Ukrainians and people of Poland to unite and strengthen our friendship."
Team Usyk hopeful of undisputed fight with Fury
Usyk, a former undisputed cruiserweight champion, dethroned Briton Anthony Joshua at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in September 2021, before winning the rematch in August 2022 in Saudi Arabia.
An undisputed fight between Usyk and Britain's WBC world champion Tyson Fury was set to take place at London's Wembley Stadium in April but fell through after disagreements over a rematch clause and purse split.
A historic Usyk-Fury contest - the first undisputed heavyweight fight in the four-belt era - was mooted to take place in Saudi in December as part of a mammoth heavyweight card also featuring Anthony Joshua v Deontay Wilder.
Fury's co-promoter allegedly has said that Fury-Usyk is unlikely to happen this year. According to reports, Fury may fight former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou in an exhibition next.
But Egis Klimas, Usyk's manager, says he is still hopeful victory over Dubois will "lead to the biggest clash in the world" against Fury.
Dubois - from prospect to world-title challenger
In May, just three months before his maiden world-title shot, Dubois split with trainer Shane McGuigan and will now be trained by Don Charles.
The Londoner turned professional in 2017 and soon established himself as one of the brightest prospects in heavyweight boxing with a string of impressive knockout wins.
"To the outside world, Daniel is a big outsider," his promoter allegedly said.
"But here at Queensberry we are supremely confident in his ability to cause a major upset and achieve the status he set out to realise when he turned professional with us back in 2017."
In his 16th fight, however, he came up short against fellow Briton Joe Joyce in 2020.
Despite being ahead on two of the three judges' scorecards, Dubois took a knee in the 10th round and failed to beat the count.
Dubois was rushed to hospital and was diagnosed with a broken orbital bone and nerve damage to his left eye.
He returned to the ring with two stoppage victories and then in June 2022 won the WBA (Regular) title - to become number one challenger - by knocking out American Trevor Bryan in Miami.
In December, Dubois was knocked down three times in the first round before stopping South Africa's Kevin Lerena in the third.

Dubois doesn't deserve a unified shot but he's got it so he may get a lucky shot in... can't see it though, Usyk is too classy...I expect Usyk to look like his old dominating cruiserweight self here

He's said so himself.

ESPN+ Press Release
Ukraine's unified WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight world champion Oleksandr Usyk will defend his titles against WBA mandatory challenger Daniel Dubois on Saturday, August 26 at Tarczynski Arena Wroclaw in Wroclaw, Poland.
Usyk, a 36-year-old southpaw who hopes to become the undisputed king in a second weight class, will spend Ukrainian Independence Day weekend putting his belts on the line against London's hard-hitting Dubois.
Promoted by K2 Promotions, in association with Queensberry, Usyk-Dubois and undercard bouts will stream live and exclusively on ESPN+ in the United States starting at 2 p.m. ET/11 a.m. PT.
Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs), a two-time Olympian and 2012 gold medalist, ended his amateur career with a record of 335-15. He turned pro in 2013 and secured the WBO cruiserweight world title in September 2016 by defeating Krzysztof Glowacki. In 2018, he became the undisputed cruiserweight champion in the World Boxing Super Series, claiming the WBC title against Mairis Breidis in January and the WBA and IBF belts from Murat Gassiev in July. He defended his crown with an eighth-round TKO against Tony Bellew in November before moving up to heavyweight with a seventh-round stoppage victory against Chazz Witherspoon in October 2019. After a decision win over Derek Chisora in October 2020, Usyk defeated unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua to become unified champion the following September. Usyk returns after defeating Joshua in their August 2022 rematch.
Dubois (19-1, 18 KOs) started his career in the paid ranks in April 2017 with a first-round TKO against Marcus Kelly. He went 15-0 with 14 knockouts in his first three years as a pro before suffering his first setback, a 10th-round stoppage loss to Joe Joyce in November 2020. Since then, he’s won four straight, including a fourth-round knockout against unbeaten American contender Trevor Bryan. The 25-year-old slugger is coming off a third-round TKO win against Kevin Lerena last December.

FILIP HRGOVIC TO BE RINGSIDE FOR OLEKSANDR USYK VS DANIEL DUBOIS IN WROCLAW
Filip Hrgovic plans to be at ringside in Poland to watch Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois fight for the world title after cementing his position as the mandatory challenger for the IBF belt.
Hrgovic stopped Demsey McKean in the 12th round on Saturday night, at the 02 Arena in London to solidify his IBF ranking to keep himself in line for a shot at the winner of Usyk and Dubois in Wroclaw.
The Croatian moved to 16-0 with his thudding TKO of the brave McKean and instantly turned his attention to his shot at the IBF world title.
The 31-year-old says he will attend Usyk vs Dubois on August 26 and hopes the winner "follows the rules" and fights him next.
"I hope it happens, I should fight Usyk next, I deserve that.” Hrogvic said in a recent Wasserman press release.
"I will go there to watch that fight from ringside. I see Usyk as the big favourite to win that fight because he is quicker and he is a really good fighter, but Dubois is a good puncher, a big guy with a straight right hand, so you never know.
"My message is: follow the rules and the winner should fight me next."
Hrgovic had to bide his time against a tough McKean but after landing a heavy right hook in the final round, the referee stepped in at 1:01 to call the contest off.
Hrgovic added: "I am satisfied and the fact that he held a lot, that made the fight a little bit ugly. The referee should have given him at least one point deduction. He was holding too much, but he's a good fighter, brave and was really well prepared. But I was controlling the fight and was winning most of the rounds.
"I thought I was going to knock him out in the first six rounds but he did very well. He's a decent fighter. I was surprised that he took some good shots and kept coming and throwing punches."

Speaking to Dev Sahni for The Lowdown, Usyk is told people thought Chisora had more success than anyone against him.
“Let people watch my fight with Derek Chisora and think what they used to think.”
Sahni then put forward the theory that Usyk had ‘played possum’ against Chisora with a view to luring in Joshua for the pair’s first big money fight in Jeddah. He was asked if there was any truth in that.
“Yes, this is true.”
Chisora employed an all-out attack plan against the Ukrainian, and certainly delivered some heavyweight pressure in the early stages.

If Usyk was playing possum then he did a very good job.
Only towards the end did it look as if he wasn't prepared to risk going for the KO.
No one watching that could have guessed what was going to happen in the HW division.
At that time it still looked as if Usyk was just too small to be taken seriously at HW.

The main problem is that wbc is allowing their champions to do whatever they want and not be stripped. look at Charlos, Fury, Wilder, Canela, (FMJ, Adonis Stevenson when they were competing from time to time), etc

Re: Oleksandr Usyk vs. Daniel Dubois | ESPN+ - August 26, 2023
This important fight seems to be ridiculously low key with just a few days to go.
It doesn't help that it's taking place in Poland's 4th largest city, Wroclaw, not a place that's known for HW championship fights, but that's the unpredictable Oleksandr Usyk for you.
No one is ruling Dubois out but practically speaking he's got virtually no chance. Even the so called massive size difference appears to be an exaggeration.
FW might insist that he believes Dubois is going to win, but given his track record of prematurely throwing his fighters into the deep end, he would say that, wouldn't he?
The plain facts suggest otherwise.

I asked that question after Usyk fought Chisora.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑21 Aug 2023, 06:02 Speaking to Dev Sahni for The Lowdown, Usyk is told people thought Chisora had more success than anyone against him.
I got the feeling that Usyk didn't really step on the accelerator and boxed within himself.
Chisora looked like he was getting the better of Usyk, but he will always look like that if you let him because of the way he fights.

Absolutely, thanks for the reminder that it is on this weekend.Thomastearns wrote: ↑22 Aug 2023, 18:16 This important fight seems to be ridiculously low key with just a few days to go.

This guy is such a pain in the ass.
On one day he is doing Interviews with Usyk, on the other day he is shitting on him.
What kind of bs host is he?
Should go back to school to teach him how to do his job.
