I could smell an upset here. I probably pick the great Roy Jones Jr to win this one by decision. I am sorry. He was too fast!

12 rounds is not enough as SRR belongs in the 15 round era. They would have a great battle, but SRR at his middleweight best would land more jabs and combinations than Roy Jones Jr. to take a 15 round decision.

Roy Jones Jr was far from his peak at 160. Robinson wins this

Robinson.... Jones might have been the greatest athlete I have ever seen in a boxing ring, but... The bulk of his career was spent facing a bunch of no hopers at 175, and when he did face Hopkins and Toney it was either BEFORE Hopkins really became the guy he would become (kinda like Canelo vs Mayweather) or the other guy basically threw his career away due to a lack of self discipline.

So how good or great he really was is a question mark to me. He potentially was one of the greatest ever but there was simply nobody around. And by the time he got slightly slower (ie, Tarver) it demonstrated to me he was more athlete than he was a great fighter. I have little doubt Robinson would've beaten the same kinds of guys Roy did, including John Ruiz.

So it really boils down to quality more so than quantity, but Robinson had both well over Roy. The passed his prime Robinson had a record Jones would've envied, let alone the prime Robinson. So I think Robinson beats down Jones. Either by decision or by late stoppage.

Robinson UD or late stoppage. The man was incredible. Love Roy, but he's over his head in this one.
