TSZYU VS ENNIS

Post by BIGDOUG58 »

If Jarron Ennis was to move up one division and be matched with Tim Tszyu,
who wins and why.

Let him face the champion in his own weight first.

Would think Boots would challenge Spence or Crawford first , thats where the belts are and the MONEY , although he seems in no hurry , think there prepared to let him wait till they have gone before he makes his championship move ,

Whats a move up against Tim going to do , Tim can't get a crack at the champ dispite jumping through hoops , so how the hell would boots get a shot , and thats providing Tim would take it ,

Apparently nobody wants to answer a hypothetical question without saying Ennis should stay at 147 and face a champ, which he should.

To answer the question though, I'd take Ennis. I like Tszyu, but I think Ennis is special, or at least has shown that he could be. I think his overall boxing ability is better than Tszyu, and assuming he carries his power up to 154 (or it increases), he'd beat Tszyu.

What will probably happen to Ennis short term here, the Crawford/Spence rematch will be at 154, with all the 147 belts up for grabs. We'll see him fight somebody for a vacant belt and KO him. Down the line he'll probably fight another champ and have 2/3 belts. Once TC/Spence are out of the division, Ennis probably gets the position of the #1 guy and man to beat. I see Ortiz moving up soon along with the other two. Who's left to realistically beat Ennis? He'll eventually go up to 154 for the bigger money fights.

Ennis would probably kick the sh*t out of Tszyu.

Hopefully for Tim's sake, Ennis chases the Craw/Spence winner.

It's kinda ironic that the top guy at 147 could beat the top guy at 154 more often than not

Like the REAL talent go for the REAL divisions, and only ever make a brief stop in the Jr/Super's.

I would hope he would. I wouldn't think it for a second.
Think Spence and Crawford see this as their big legacy definer, there's even talks of the rematch being at 154
They absolutely aren't hanging around for Boots. He presents the same risk as fighting each other without the reward.
And I don't think Ennis really ever wanted his first ever title to be against Crawford/Spence. He seems content to sit iin position to take over arguably the premier division in boxing in their absense.

Agree, but those so called champs are proving hard to pin down ;-)
