Bivol vs buatsi is a great fight no doubt about that. BUT, Bivol should be fighting beterbeive and thats it. the only cop out of that I'd accept is Canelo cash, but it wont be that seeing as its in june....
Bivol vs Beterbiev after this and Smith vs Buatsi. Great money making from Hearn and it protects all of his interests. He gets two of his fighters title shots and their stock raises even if they lose.
yeah i can see him marketing as “the road to undisputed” , 2 x semi finals leading to the final ….all comes down to whether he can get Bertabiev to sign with him ….

Bob’s said it only happens on ESPN. Makes it difficult.
Also whilst most of us would prefer Bivol fights Beterbiev if he beats Buatsi/someone in May/June, he’d likely make a lot more money fighting Canelo on PPV and it will also be for undisputed at Super Middle so I can’t see it happening this year.

It would be great if one day he could do a men’s undisputed in the Uk.
“I keep hearing reports that it’s signed. I don’t know where it’s coming from. It’s not signed,” said Eddie Hearn to Boxing King Media on whether the Dmitry Bivol vs. Joshua Buatsi fight has been made.
“It’s a fight I’d love to make, but we’re also talking about Bivol-Beterbiev. We’re talking about Bivol-Canelo Alvarez, so we’ll have to see. If I can make the Bivol-Buatsi fight, I’d love to, but a long way to go,” said Hearn.
“He’s going to fight in October. He’s had an injury. I said to guys the other day. ‘You people think he’s just not fighting.’ He’s had an injury. He’ll be ready for October,” said Eddie Hearn to Boxing News in giving an update on WBA light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol.
“We made an offer to Dan Azeez, and he chose not to take it. We’re going to make an offer to Anthony Yarde and Queensberry for that fight. I like the fight, and we’ll see."
“It wasn’t offered to [promoter] Ben Shalom. Frank Smith had half a dozen conversations with Dan Azeez and made him offers for that fight. He is a free agent, and Frank Smith had five or six conversations with him and made him an offer."
“If he’s not a free agent, I think we’d have a legal, but he didn’t want to take that fight. So we’ll offer it to Anthony Yarde. He’s got another fight with us,” said Hearn when asked how many more fights Bivol has with Matchroom Boxing.
