Best single ringwalk

Post by garethhop »

Whats the best ringwalk you've seen live?

George Groves at Wembley was pretty spectacular but I have to go with Kell Brook at Bramall Lane. Big crowd, great tune, proper city behind the fighter and a world class fighter in the ring waiting for him.

eff me that entrance reminded me of how great it is that Smith isn't commentating. Never shut the f*ck up during entrances.

I think Lartey had the best entrance of all time.

Very suspect the way he jumped onto the canvas and did the same in a subsequent fight.

I had the good fortune to be at Benn-Barkley, the atmosphere was electric before the fight and Nigel came in to Land of Hope and Glory.

Is that the one when he was asking the crowd what they thought he should do?

Was that the one where they all ran down to the ring together?

My favourite that I’ve seen live is probably Brook be Golovkin. There was something about All of the Lights as an entrance song that was a perfect fit for Brook and it also built the atmosphere.

Also loved Hatton’s entrance for Tszyu.

Conversely I loved Golovkin coming out to the White stripes for that fight.

Naz had tons of great entrances. Obviously vs Kelly has been mentioned but I thought the flying carpet was the best. I think that was against Augie Sanchez but I might be wrong.

Froch v Groves 1 really had something to it with both entrances and Groves in the ring with just Fitzpatrick and the bucket man waiting for Froch’s entrance. Froch came out to Oasis - What’s the story and they obviously timed it so the crescendo of the chorus hit just as he entered the ring. A great fight but beforehand everyone on here slating it saying it wasn’t PPV and so on,

I was too young to go and see Naz live.

Didn’t see Froch/Groves 1 either but went to several other Froch fights with welcome to the jungle which was great also.
