who had the bigger heart and better resume? Froch or Benn?

Idk I'd say they are basically even in terms of quality wins. They both certainly weren't the best guys around, after all Froch never fought Calzaghe and I don't think he'd of ever beaten him. Benn couldn't do anything with Collins, and Collins was arguably 2nd to Roy Jones at the time. So they both hit their ceiling or reached their plateau. No offense, but I never really rated George Groves, etc and Froch could do nothing with Andre Ward either.

Froch resume, heart is on a par. Froch was seriously hurt by Groves and came back well. Benn's heart cannot be questioned after the McClellan fight. Resume easy froch, he beat better men and only lost to an all time great and kessler who isn't far off that.
