Inoue most difficult opponent at 126

Post by armageto »

Let's assume Inoue defeats Tapales to become undisputed and unify at the weight, then moves up to 126. Who do you think his most difficult opponent would be between:

Brandon Figueroa
Robeisy Ramirez
Rey Vargas

Unless you have another you might think would be the toughest guy out there for him at 126? I myself think Ramirez due to his combination of boxing ability and he does carry power. A friend I was debating it with thought Vargas due to his style, but I don't think he could keep Inoue at bay long enough to make it interesting. Figs seems to get hit too much, but a fight vs Inoue would be fun while it lasted.

Overall I don't think Inoue loses unless he goes up too much in weight or ages out.

Ramirez for me out of those three.

I like Brandon a lot, hard worker, decent guy, entertaining fighter. I just think he is a bit easy to hit, and that isn't good news for anyone in the ring with Inoue.
And maybe Vargas was having an off night against Foster, or maybe 32 is when father time has come home. But there was no question he couldn't time his shots and got outworked by a guy he should not have lost to.

Let's also not forget what a tough bastard Leigh Wood is, and how he just came back from a nasty KO and outboxed Lara over 12 rounds in the rematch.
If there is a current beast of FW it's Lara. So a cautious, at range full concentration fight by Leigh Wood, and I'd give him as much a chance as Ramirez.
