One Of The Greatest Rounds Ever?

Post by Sweet Dick Willie »

Well, no. It was fun but besides the knockdowns nothing great. By the way, I remember reading in the first Tyson Fury autobiography that he (Fury) saw it in Joshuas eyes during the ringwalk he was going to lose. That he was so scared of Ruiz. Fury of course blowing his own trumpet but I think that was the case also. AJ doesn't seem to have the nerves for this shit.

Anyhow, what's your opinion, what is the greatest round not ever but of the current era?

from the last year or so........round 7 of fundora-lubin was really good, fundora busting up lubin and looking on the verge of stopping him, but lubin catches him with some desperation hail mails and causes a big timber to change the dramatically. first kd for fundora and he got up wobbly, looked like lubin might be able to turn it and stop him, but fundora recovered and won a few rounds later

there were so many good rounds also in munguia-derev and nery-azat. in the nery fight it looked like azat was taking over and wearing nery out with body shots before those heavy meh-he-can hands proved decisive

Didn’t AJ have panic attacks before the fight?

I don’t think he was scared of Ruiz.

He started the fight off well.. was winning, got the KD, then he got very complacent and got his equilibrium knocked over and that was the start of the end.

Great fights both. I think the stoppage in Nery - Crazy A was a bit premature especially thinking that Azat was winning the fight but it is what it is. Nery was amazing too.

Don't know about that. Too drunk to pick up the book now but I recall Fury writing he could see right away Joshua was gonna lose
