Innoue vs Pacman at 135?

Post by Bandog »

Sounds crazy, but Freddie Roach says he'd love to see it.

Did he say he'd love to see it or he'd love to have seen it?

Doesn't seem like a good time for it at this point.

pacman is 50 years old. last fought at 140 against ricky hatton almost 15 years ago. a couple of years later paquiaio beat margarito to a pulp at 154 and since then fought as a welterweight, which if i'm not mistaken is 147.

the 'mongster' inoue fights at 118/122 where pac last campaigned like 30 years ago.

that said, yeah! amazing fight! everything is lined up for this! let's make it happen! right now!

Sounds like Roach doesn't like Pacquiao.

He cannot be serious in suggesting that a man who isnt far from 50 years old comes back and drops down to weight he hasn't fought at since he was in his 20s to fight a killer like Inoue?

That would be legalised manslaughter.

Pac could easily make 140 nowadays. He's 45 years old. That's A Special Unique age. He's not as muscle-bulked anymore. Look at what's his name, the guy that fought Loma at 130, and now, while well into his 40's, he's back to Bantam(118).
Rigondouex. I knew my old brain would get the name eventually.

With that said, and just to point out, "Inoue", who is Pac's height(5'5ish) weighed at least well into the 130's, while in the ring, in The Fulton bout.
138-139 would be my Strong Personal Guesstimate.

This bout Could Definitely be made !!!
Not far fetched at all Really.
If not versus Ole Pac, then let's just make it happen for "Inoue versus Loma" !!!
132 Catchweight would be ideal.

I'd say we should wait till we see Inoue at 126. Fulton has the frame of a legit FW, but you have guys like Rey Vargas floating around who should be SFWs. I think 126 is that weight class that I think winning there I'd back him to make up to 135, no doubt.
