Shout out to Crawford's defense as well btw, he's nigh on flawless
Re: Round-by-Round: Errol Spence Jr. vs. Terence Crawford | Showtime PPV - July 29, 2023
I agree. Mayweather didn't have that perfect balance of offense and defence. He had to concentrate on a one thing to be perfect, while the Guru Crawford can do f8cken everything.

Floyd rates higher p4p. But Bud beats fmj at welterweight.
I can't see floyd dealing with Bud at 147

As well as average/poor defense for Spence.handsofstone wrote: ↑30 Jul 2023, 00:25 Shout out to Crawford's defense as well btw, he's nigh on flawless

It's hard to put Mayweather lower p4p-wise, he was so popular, while Crawford is overlooked. Mayweather has more legends in his list, but also more questions. Crawford has more talent and at least defeated his opposition in its inarguable prime.tiny_acres wrote: ↑30 Jul 2023, 00:27Floyd rates higher p4p. But Bud beats fmj at welterweight.

He is. But he looked worryingly frail tonight and his speech is definitely slower.
He’s made a lot of money and is a very funny guy. He’d be a natural in the media. Maybe time to get out of the ring now.

Spence' defence hasn't looked so mediocre before facing the Bud.pizzakid13 wrote: ↑30 Jul 2023, 00:31As well as average/poor defense for Spence.handsofstone wrote: ↑30 Jul 2023, 00:25 Shout out to Crawford's defense as well btw, he's nigh on flawless

I agree.
The Pac/FMJ welter era was weak, imo. Over blown great lightweights taking advantage of it. Crawford is as complete a package as anyone in at least 35 years.

After the first KD, I knows Bud would get the stoppage late in the fight.
That was confirmed for me.
Spence started getting desperate after rd3 cus he came out aggressive.. but made no difference to Bud.
Desperate Spence was not a good sign.
Even more confirmation that Bud was gonna get the stoppage.
A rematch at 154 would have the same outcome.
Would it be closer? I don’t really think it would be.

Maybe it’s just that he went up against one of the best defensive/offensive fighters today.DrDuke wrote: ↑30 Jul 2023, 00:34Spence' defence hasn't looked so mediocre before facing the Bud.pizzakid13 wrote: ↑30 Jul 2023, 00:31As well as average/poor defense for Spence.handsofstone wrote: ↑30 Jul 2023, 00:25 Shout out to Crawford's defense as well btw, he's nigh on flawless
Spence was eating jabs. Bud said that they worked on a sharper and powerful jab cus the normal jab wouldn’t have made much difference and that game plan was 100% the best thing they probably did in training.

Now there's more sense in Crawford defending his undisputed championship against the hottest contender Ennis.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑30 Jul 2023, 00:35 After the first KD, I knows Bud would get the stoppage late in the fight.

So I just got off work, and it would appear I won my betRuthless-RKO wrote: ↑30 Jul 2023, 00:35 After the first KD, I knows Bud would get the stoppage late in the fight.

So Crawford won emphatically?

But, Crawford made him look frail.
Re: Round-by-Round: Errol Spence Jr. vs. Terence Crawford | Showtime PPV - July 29, 2023
Definitely taking another look.
On a first glimpse, Spence gassed and Crawford took advantage of it.
Crawford's body held firm and adjusted as the bout went on, Spence went for it early and couldn't hold his own mid round.

Spence has shown a vulnerability to a good jab in the past. Crawford’s jab tonight was one of the greatest in the history of the sport. It alone was the difference.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑30 Jul 2023, 00:37Maybe it’s just that he went up against one of the best defensive/offensive fighters today.

Was just about to say same, most of Crawford's work is pretty textbook stuff but the speed and timing along with his IQ makes it so effective even against the bestDrDuke wrote: ↑30 Jul 2023, 00:34Spence' defence hasn't looked so mediocre before facing the Bud.pizzakid13 wrote: ↑30 Jul 2023, 00:31As well as average/poor defense for Spence.handsofstone wrote: ↑30 Jul 2023, 00:25 Shout out to Crawford's defense as well btw, he's nigh on flawless

Spence didn't gas, he was simply being beaten down since the start. Course ya gas, when ya get your butt whooped.
Re: Round-by-Round: Errol Spence Jr. vs. Terence Crawford | Showtime PPV - July 29, 2023
Spence did not gas, he got torched, start to finish.

Yes. As one sided as you can think. Spence probably took rd1.. but it was a jab feel out round.gilgamesh wrote: ↑30 Jul 2023, 00:38So I just got off work, and it would appear I won my betRuthless-RKO wrote: ↑30 Jul 2023, 00:35 After the first KD, I knows Bud would get the stoppage late in the fight.

Na honesty I think it was less close than that.
