Your records database is completely unusable

Post by davie »

I started another thread about this and it's not been picked up.
See Juan Franscisco Estrada's record below, it shows numerous losses in fights he didn't lose.
I'm getting it a lot on my phone (chrome browser) and others have reported it on their laptop as well.

It's making the records website completely unusable for me.

Is there a reason no one from the site is acknowledging these threads?

FYI, i've started just opening in on my phones Internet explorer app and it seems to run ok there. But it's still frustrating as I spend 95% of my time on Google Chrome and if it's a compatibility issue with the Crome Browser it's a pain in the hoop jumping between browsers to use Boxrec

I am just an editor, not a "site member" but I do agree with you that we should return to purely pc-browser based system and remove any smartphone functionability. Smartphones are an invention from hell. :witzend:

Who is the best person to address functionality then?

Because a lot of people will be using this on smartphone browsers and finding it doesn't work

Solution is to say "fornicate Off" for smartphone users. You are the worst scum of modern civilization.

Good luck editing the forum when no one is looking at it .

Looks like it isn't confined to Chrome

Here's JCC taking 5 KO losses early in his career

Like me, Petu is an editor of the database: we do historical research and add and correct fights. Neither of us has anything to do with the technical aspects of the site.

And as far as EDITOR functionability goes, it has been down to the drain ever since smartphone users were taken into consideration.

Personally, I would prefer BoxRec as a "scientific research project" only available for hard-core researchers and shut off (all access to it) from casual fans and other contemporary assholes. Catering for fans (nauseating group of vermins) is not for me.

Mate, I think you need to take some time off, chill a bit, take some time with the family.

FYI, it's doing it on my computer desk top as well.

That's fine, I just spotted a few names of guys who post in this section of the forum and wondered if they could help. If Editors have no input, that is fine. But as I say, you do put effort into something that clearly isn't working.

And as someone who has used Boxrec extensively (much to Petu's fury), I appreciate the effort you guys have put into it. However, if this issue is not resolved then this resource is utterly useless to all users and you are very much polishing a turd I'm afraid and that's no good for yourself or for us as loyal users.

I'm now wondering if admins are seeing this, as someone does have control over how the site works and has to be concerned that a lot of good work is going to waste if this database isn't worth the smartphone screen it's written on.
